Having lived a long time with migraines I find that magnesium helps

a great deal. I take it regularly, but when there is still an

attack, I take some of the Natural Calm magnesium citrate....Kirkman

sells the same stuff and it is cheaper there.

I have been getting up to 20 migraines a month, that over the counter

medication would not touch. For the past few months, I have been getting an

intramuscular shot of Magnesium.......

am getting many fewer and much less severe migraines now. I haven't taken

any presciption medicine since. I had tried magensium in pill form and it

was not effective.

Best of luck migraine sufferers!

Almonds are also reported to help.

Lori-have you tried pycnogenol or grapeseed capsules at the onset of the

headache? Since figuring out that oranges and milk trigger my migraines, I get

maybe one to two migraines per year:) If I take pycnogenol right at the

beginning, and take it faithfully for a few days, the headache is

tolerable-unless it's from nutrasweet, in which case NOTHING touches it:(

It's two separate terrible things that can happen to a person. I had

migraines years before I had any RA symptoms. Thankfully, my migraines

were pretty much cured before my RA started. Both of these are just too

much for any one person, and I'm very sorry that you have to suffer

from both.

I had migraines for years. I did hyperbaric chamber treatments and the

migraines totally went away. I did the Fife protocol (Tex A & M) to kill

Lyme as well. However, later I heard from one person who knew Dr. Wm Harvey

that hyperbarics may drive Lyme further into the tissue. I have no clue

what that means and no one seems to agree..................but the

hyperbarics got rid of the migraines and I have been free of them for 2

years now. Vasculitis in the brain from Lyme is one theory for the

headaches.

I have recently been diagnosed with Lyme. I have been having migraines

10-20 days per month for two years. Has anyone else experience this

symptom with Lyme, and what did you do about it?

interest.

Maybe the blood vessels are dilated because they are full of blood, increase in

blood pressure caused up uptick in circulation, increases oxygen. Study shows

increasing oxygen relieves migraines. Mild exercise will also help, like

walking, if you are sitting around, not running. Same thing, increases

circulation. If the migraine is already gotten a strong start it wouldn't be

enough. For me, it only works at first sign of one coming..but fortunately

coffee, taking a walk are readily availabel also but I also always have migraine

medicine on me just in case they don't work.
