Guest guest
Hello to all!! I am now taking mtx in addition to prednisone (and folic). I just started this combination a few days ago. I'd love to hear some feed back from other people who have been doing the same about any side affects if any, they might be experiencing. thank-you, Kathleen
Guest guest
Hi Kathleen I took this mix for about six months when I was first diagnosed and the additional mobility in my joints was almost immediate. I found I bruised very easily and cuts took a long time to heal but no really unpleasant side effects. For the last two and ha;f years I have been on mtx and indometacin and I also take Noni capsules which I believe make a difference, although my rheumatologist doesn't. Hope you have a good result Kind regards, Pennie --- In , " kami19502001 " <kami19502001@...> wrote: > > Hello to all!! I am now taking mtx in addition to prednisone (and > folic). The prednisone should relieve some of the pain immediately, but the mtx may take a couple weeks or so to fully kick in. I personally dont have much problems with side effects with either. As long as you remember to take the pred on a full tummy. Also folic acid every day! Methotrexate tends to make me very nauseus and loopy so I take it friday evening right before bed... that way i dont feel the side effects and i can relax the weekend.
