Hi ,

Welcome to the group! He had another member awhile back who used

Fit Well and was quiet pleased with the treatment as I remember.

Some movement is normal as long as it isn't shifting over an ear or

inhibiting sight.

I hope that his surgery was without complications.

Thanks, Natasha. His surgery went very well. As a matter of fact,

they wanted to send him home the day after. I was the wimpy one who

asked for another day. So far he is hating the helmet, but he gets

better everyday. He only sleeps for about 20 minutes in it, though.

Hi , welcome to the group! I'm so glad that his surgery went

well. That must've been sooo difficult for you so I'm glad that's

behind you. I know that some slipping is normal as long as it

doesn't drop below their eyebrows or hurt their ears. I would watch

his temperment too as a sign of a correct fit bcz most babies adjust

either instantly or in the first week. If in doubt, call your

orthotist and/or see them to check it. I always asked about the

looseness of my son's STARband and it was normal. Good luck and let

us know.

Thanks for all the comments. Now to get my husband to keep it on.

When it slides down, he takes it off because he thinks it doesn't fit.

I'm about ready to kick his butt!

Hi ,

Welcome to the group. How old is Jack? I'm assuming his surgery went well since you are already in a helmet. How often is he having follow-up appointments? The shifting is normal. If it's excessive (more than 1") than I would discuss with the ortho. If it blocks his vision or covers his ear that would also need an adjustment. Let us know how the appt goes.

It seems that when I feed him or lay him down that the helmet slips down his forehead. I have to readjust it when he's done. I'm not sure if it's because of his head sweating or if it just needs to be tighter. Has anyone had this problem?

Hello,

My name is a and this is my first time I've ever joined a group,

so please excuse me if I'm unsure of what I'm doing. My online skills

are very new. I'm 67 years old and I was diagnosed with RA one year

ago.

My question is, and I'm hoping someone will have an answer, I am taking

paquinil, prednisone, and methotraxate, and I'm wondering if I can take

borage and fish oil pills at the same time? Or should I wait a couple

of hours or more?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the group, a!

This is a question you should really ask your physician and/or pharmacist.

Your physician should be made aware of any supplements you are taking along

with your RA medications.

Your online skills seem fine to me!

Hi a and welcome too.

I wanted to add that I have been suffering from fatigue quite a lot

and thought that vitamin supliments might do the trick to help with

that. My problem is that I have always had difficulty digesting

vitamins. I found out that I had this problem years ago when I was

attempting to take calcium magnesium. I took it with food, without

food and it didn't matter I threw it all up within 30 minutes fo

taking it. So, I have strayed away from vitamin suppliments until

recently when I was diagnosed with RA. Now that I take MTX, folic

acid, the doc wants me to take B-6 with it to help the absorption of

the folic acid and help with the hair loss. I'm doing ok with it as

long as I take it with food. However, I introduced a vitamin complex

(just your general everyday vitamin) and have had difficulty taking

it. It has caused to to nearly vomit it up, but mostly I deal with

nausea the entire day and stomach pains. SO needless to say I don't

take the general vitamin much any more and wish I could so that I can

help my immune system fight potential colds etc.

Hope you get some answers on your questions from your doctor.

Take care,

Les
