Hi Tim:

That's a hard question to answer, because everybody is

different. It seems that my flares come more often

with changes in weather, more rainy, cloudy, more

humid, more moisture, and so this past weekend, and

this week have been, and will continue to be hard with

the rain we are expecting here in not-so-sunny

california. However, I can also flare during the

summers when it is 100 degrees, so RA is very

unpredictable. Also, I have found that I can no

longer tolerate my occasional glass of wine because

that now causes my hands to swell and become more

painful. You will find as you go that certain foods

might cause pain too, it's just kind of a learn as you

go thing. Hopefully your doctor has you on

medications for your RA, and when they start working

well for you, then your flares should become less.

I hope that today is a better day for you -
