Guest guest
Now I know. Vulcan here too. Betty Thank you for making me laugh. The toes in my right foot are permanently in the Vulcan hi sign. Now, I have something funny to show my trekkie friends.
Guest guest
HI ALL, I figured I would add my two cents since feet, toes and ankles are the worst part of my RA, I can only wear NIKE AIRLINER SIZE 9.5 WIDE. That's it. If they stop making them, I am in big trouble. So I should order more pair NOW....I actually have six pair in my closet and threw out all the rest of my shoes after developing RA (boo hoo). They are $40.00 each. Will be trying to > find a place that has those MBT shoes, soon. I looked at them on several internet sites last night. They are $$$expensive$$$! Particuarly when the only one that would fit me (I wear an 11 1/2 women's) would be mens, and other than the sneakers, they are butt ugly. My problem isn't so much swelling, (although that happens too, sometimes) but the fact that my feet are already pretty badly deformed (which is alarming, considering that I've only had this for a little more than a year!!!) I need shoes that are really wide through the ball of the foot, because that's where my feet stick out, but I basically have a pretty narrow foot, so a wide size shoe falls off my heel. The bed of the shoe also has to be well cushioned, or it feels like I'm walking on hot rocks. I can't walk barefoot or even in socks for this reason. I'd love to hear if people have found brands that have large sizes that fit this sort of problem. I've ordered a couple of pairs of shoes from Footsmart, but they haven't fit at all. Again, they seem to assume that if you need width in the ball of the foot, you must either have fat or swollen feet and need it all over. The wides fell right off my feet, and the medium widths didn't give me enough room. I did get a shoe stretcher from them though, which has helped make a couple of pairs of men's sneakers from " Famous Footwear " tolerable. ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL.
