Guest guest
I have a bright red Durango- so I got a bright blue scooter. I decorate it for holidays and parades, just like my kids would decorate their bikes. My dog loves to rind on it, altho he dislikes the basket, he loves to ride by my feet. My son loves to stand on the back behind me - I swear sometimes he walks slow on purpose so I will tell him to climb aboard. I guess I consider my scooter like wearing glasses. My feet weren't working all that great or my knees or hips- so- hey what the heck? I am not embarrased by my eye glasses...I am not embarrassed by splints on my wrists and I WAS embarrassed being SO slow and I was embarrased and frustrated by not being able to keep up with my kids....and I was SO tired of being at home..having to stop work was bad enough. So- I decorate my scooter and I enjoy it and have fun with it, just like my kids with their bikes, just like some people get flashy eye glasses. Mine has a tall flexible flag and some smiley faces on it (window stickees) and I hung some keychains off the basket. For awhile my fingers gave me trouble working the mechanism to make my scooter go so my husband modified it for me. I wish I could run mine in thru a side van door, but mine has to go in thru the back door of my durango- and I need all the seats for my kids....but thankfully I hve not needed my scooter in awhile, now.
