General Question to all. Have any of you had massage therapy? I went today

for the first time and was given a very gentle, all over massage while lying on

a warm pad, gentle music - nice. I had a few sore spots down my spine but

since it's been broken a couple of times and gets sort of " jammed " up I didn't

think much about that. It felt so good - at first. But by the end of the hour

I was exhausted and in pain. I hardly made it home.

I was aching so much I took a muscle relaxant - didn't help, so I filled the

bath tub with warm/hot water and added Epson salts to try and absorb some

magnesium from it. I was so " antsy " I could hardly lie there for 15 minutes or

so, couldn't even read and enjoy the soak - didn't seem to help.

So I took an Oxycontin, ate a sandwich and went to bed. It was not a good

afternoon. I'm still aching from it 6 hours later - and sore. This was NOT a

hard massage that should have left me sore or hurting. Anyone else had

massage therapy and have this happen? I have had a really bad month with a

severe headache that I finally was sent to the ER for - by the doc. It lasted

over 3 weeks. I think it was Fibromyalgia triggered- who knows? I know that

has worn me out and I'm having to " catch up " on rest from all that pain. Any

suggestions here as to whether I should go back next week for a second massage

or just leave that one alone? I have CFS/FM and PPS as well. Marty
