Guest guest
My mother in law went through a similar problem and couldn't take anything for the cholesterol. After trying the 2nd or 3rd prescription, she just quit taking it and started taking Apple Cider Vinegar tablets. The next time she went to the doc he was surprised to see how well the prescription had worked to lower her numbers! When she told him she had not taken the prescription, but apple cider vinegar, he was even more surprised! She has continued this and has kept her numbers down. My former husband got his triglycerides under control just by cutting out all sweetened drinks. The niacin had very bad side affects. Good Luck! --- In , kerri paquette <ksp2242@y...> wrote: > > I received a letter in the mail yesterday with some lab values from my primary. I take Tricor for high triglycerides and apparently its not working... not only is it not working but since I've been on it, they've gone up AND My HDL " good cholesterol " is only 8 and it should be between 85 and 135. On the bottom of the note it said please see me as soon as possilbe to begin Niacin treatments. Can anyone out there fill me in on anything about this? I know its used as a metabolic booster and it should help out in a lot of ways, but the treatment itself seems a bit scary too, has anyone ever gone through this? I'm pretty scared, because anything I've looked up says I " m just begging for a heart attack and I don't understand why. I'm starting to bug out. Thank you in advance. I hope you are all having warm days, it hasn't gone above 10 here yet!! take care and God Bless. > > kerri sue > > > --------------------------------- > DSL Something to write home about. Guest guest
Lynn, Thank you for your response. The only med for cholesterol that i'm currently on is Tricor... no idea if that is a " statin " I only classify my meds by " yucky " and " yuckier " LOL. I hope you are having warm and pain free days. Take care. Kerri sue lynn8953 <lynn8953@...> wrote: > > I received a letter in the mail yesterday with some lab values from my primary.
