Guest guest
as I understand it, I was. I did not have any silicone beyond the capsule, and I was as sick as women who had major spills and had lymph nodes removed. All silicone implants bleed through the shell, and my pathological report showed I had tissue changes and reactions consistent with silicone reaction. My tissue was thin and I have been told my shoulder degenerated due to my inability to tolerate implants. There is a misconception that implants that are not ruptured cannot make women sick or that any pain is in their heads if there is no evidence of rupture. In fact, there is a misconception that enclosed encapsulation causes a woman to be sicker and is a sign that they are more intolerant of implants. I had hardly ANY capsule around my implants and it was difficult to remove. We are now hearing that women with NO severe encapsulation may be as sick or sicker than women with CC. Since the body is trying to reject this foreign substance (whether it is saline or silicone), it appears that women with severe CC have bodies that are fighting HARDER to protect the surrounding tissue from this invasion. It is a barrier and attempt to isolate a harmful substance. Using this logic, is the woman with a thin, non problematic capsule the fortunate one? Maybe NOT. She may be the one at most risk of future problems, because her body has not been as efficient in isolating the foreign object. If she does rupture, the spill can be quite invasive if it escapes the synovial membrane. In our testimonies, we are seeing NO relevance to whether there was rupture or no rupture, CC or no CC. Women can be equally sick or miserable either way. I could be someday proved wrong, but the more I research and think about it, the more I believe the basic danger in implants is that they are simply a foreign object that was not originally put in the body by God. The chemicals, metals, poisons, etc. are highly toxic, but I am not so sure there is a completely inert, safe material that can be sewn in the human body and be 100% safe. Remember, even perfect tissue matches in organ transplanting still must be treated with anti rejection medications and the problem is NOT that the organs are toxic. The body was just designed to resist invasions of the tissues. We live in an imperfect world, and man will NEVER produce a better design than God. We can only TRY to improve medical problems and give people an informed choice. That is my opinion.
Guest guest
My scar capsules were very thin as well. Thank you for sharing that info, how many years did you have the implants? ----- Original Message ----- From: " el_jeena " <el_jeena@...> < > Sent: Saturday, February 02, 2002 12:35 PM Subject: You don't have to be ruptured to be sick, but > as I understand it, I was.
