Guest guest
i took mtx injections for 4 years. last winter she up'ed my dosage. that same night i became ill and ended up with pneumonia. they have no way to tell if it was the mtx or not. no matter how much i beg. she refuses to put me back on. my fingers are swelling and taking the ulnar deviation, my appt is not until the end of may. i called them after i tried the arava again. but no one ever got back to me. i guess i'd better call again to see if they can get me in sooner. although i don't know what they will do. she was only offering drugs i have already taken and rejected, or way out of reach like humira. i am lost again, and i have to keep working my part time job as i needed to take on a car payment last week. Guest guest
That really a shame Kathy. You tolerated the mtx so well and it was helping you. I've been on mtx 3 times prior to starting it again a few months ago. In prior attempts I ran into problems when they increased my dose. My current rheumy will not increase my dose anytime soon. I'm only on 10mg but in conjunction with enbrel. You're not even sure if it was the mtx! I hope you can convince your rheumy to put you back on the dose you were on for four years. a On Apr 26, 2006, at 12:46 PM, kringlemom@... wrote: > i took mtx injections for 4 years. last winter she up'ed my dosage. > that > same night i became ill and ended up with pneumonia. they have no > way to tell if > it was the mtx or not. no matter how much i beg. she refuses to put > me back > on. my fingers are swelling and taking the ulnar deviation, my > appt is not > until the end of may. i called them after i tried the arava again. > but no one > ever got back to me. i guess i'd better call again to see if they > can get me in > sooner. although i don't know what they will do. she was only > offering drugs > i have already taken and rejected, or way out of reach like > humira. i am > lost again, and i have to keep working my part time job as i > needed to take on a > car payment last week. > > Kathy in IL > > > >
