Guest guest
Hi Kathe, Yesterday when I knew I had to take the kids shopping agian, I thought, " Hey, I'll get one of those little-old-lady wire carts that you can put your bags in to save my shoulders and hands from carrying bags. Guess what? I couldn't find one anywhere! Oh well, yesterday at least I had the kids with me, so they did the carrying. And the traffic was so bad we didn't even get near the mall... we went in the other direction and just went to Target instead. I think they got their shopping done. Today, I'm not going ANYWHERE!!! Oliver and Dillon are off to their winter homes. Oliver is at the indoor ring, and Dillon went back to stay with my friend that I bought him from. He lives on the edge of a big state forest, and has a retired horse that Dillon can hang out with. If I want, I can go over and ride Dillon in the state forest. Dillon is so fuzzy you can hardly see his ears. Oliver never gets THAT furry, and he's trace clipped now anyway, because he works all winter. Oliver has been off work for a couple of days because he had his hocks injected on Thurs. Poor guy, he was so drugged that he couldn't move when I went to check on him a couple of hours later! <g> He doesn't have anything seriously wrong with his hocks, but he's 11, and seems to do better with an " annual oil change " . He's not lame without it, but you can really feel the difference in his movement once it has been done. What I don't get is why they don't use Hyaluronic Acid on most human joints yet... it works SO well for animals, and doesn't have any of the down sides of steroid injections. I know they are using it on human knees now, but I haven't heard of them using it on other joints. Hope you are more successful pacing yourself than I've been so far, and have a quiet, peaceful Christmas! --- In , Kathe Sabetzadeh <lv2ryd@...> wrote: > > Hi : > > Sorry to hear that you are feeling overwhelmed by the > holiday crunch - you are not alone!
