Guest guest
Toni, I have my blood work for my rheumy done at my PCP's office, but I don't have to see her and therefore don't have a co-pay for an office visit. They charge just $4.00 for drawing the blood. This is much more convenient for me, since I live a distance from the rheumy and need blood work in between visits. My new rheumy is letting me continue with this. I like it so much that I also started going to my PCP's office for blood work for my endocrinologist. That way, we can discuss the results when I see him. Why don't you ask if you can get the blood work done without having to have an office visit? Guest guest
Thank you for this idea. This is a new doc to me so I am not sure he will do this..but it is worth asking. Since they office does not do all labs I would still have the same problem but I could at least get the basics done there. I am trying to find out if the large clinic in the next city where I use to go has inhouse lab that is billed with the doctors visit. If so I will have to try and find a way to get there to get my labs.
