Guest guest
Thank you Dr. Kolb! I've sent you a private email with some personal questions. I'm asking everyone to please not take offense at what I'm about to say . . . I just want to express my feelings, which I admit are confused. What I hope to do is to help some of the women here examine their own feelings so they can move past some blocks. First, since the beginning of breast implant support, we've seen people come along with products they told us that would help us with our illnesses. . . Often the products/treatments benefit them more than us ($$). . . So we've become suspicious . . . Are they trying to help us, or help themselves? - All too often doctors have been included in that formula. However, here is Dr. Kolb. . . She is fully involved with breast implants . . . even having them herself. Yet she manages to maintain her health despite having them! After what most of us have been through, it's incredible that she can do so! But then, I've read her protocol for dealing with silicone immune diseases. Based on my own experience, it's the best program offered anywhere! And, it's apparent she is betting her own life on it. That's more than impressive! So we have on one one hand a silicone sister (we love her), as well as a plastic surgeon (we hate most of them!), plus a marketeer who stands to gain from our illness (boo). Talk about mixed feelings! I don't think I'm the only one having them! Now for the bottom line . . . We need help . . . if not Dr. Kolb, Who? She's repeatedly demonstrated her desire to help regardless of our actions. She is more attuned to holistic medicine than any doctor I've ever heard of!. . . Personally, I don't think that we can get well by dumping more toxins in our body, (IMHO, that's what I think of many medications). So - I'm asking all the women here - How about giving Dr. Kolb a chance to tell us more about alternative healing? . . . and listening with an open mind. What she has to offer may not be the ticket for everyone . .. . But if our problems are continuing, it's time for new ideas. We've spent thousands on medical tests that go nowhere. Why not take the time and money to check out some alternatives? After all, the diagnosis really doesn't matter. All that matters is results. The body's natural state is health. I believe that, given what it needs to heal, the body will do so. For myself, when offered an option, I go deep within myself and I " know " if this is right for me. This has lead me to some unusual, but highly effective healing options. That's what I think . . . I hope I haven't stepped on any toes! Guest guest
Dear : Please call me at 770-457-4677 and I will be happy to explain all of what I have been through and my current understanding of why I was guided on this path. . ----- Original Message ----- From: ShihtzusRock@... Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2002 6:06 PM Subject: Dr. Kolb Dr. Kolb, I am (somewhat) new to the online support groups & have only been doing my own research for about 9 months. I had silicone implants for 16 years, but did not start researching until after my rupture last year. In looking up every site I can in my spare time, I came across a "Glamour" article with reference to you still having implants. Perhaps this was an old article and you no longer have any implants, because I just can't see a doctor who has seen the damages these things have done to women still have them in. I also have not read about any other doctors who have implants. Also please explain to me, why & how a doctor, who has removed implants from women and has seen the damages/suffering of the women, go ahead an implant more women? And why would that doctor have the same implants? When I was a hair stylist I went to alot of classes/shows dealing with new procedures & products. I remember there was an issue on whether to do any chemical services on pregnant women because the chemical service would not take because of the hormone levels. I chose NOT to do the service because of the uncertainty of the issue. And there were alot more "uncertainties" with that than there are with the implants issues. And hair does grow back unless there were extreme circumstances. The thing I remember hearing the most from some of the other stylists was that they needed the money! I watched many stylists lose clients over this or refund the money. Yes , refund the money or do the service again for free. I know I'm only talking about hair, but I believe hair stylists work as hard as doctors do & if they can "re-do" their services for free then why can't doctors, especially plastic surgeons? I never understood why doctors ( & some car mechanics) got away with charging twice. I remember also seeing stylists have their clients sign a "consent form" in case the service did not turn out right in order not to have to refund or do over. Kind of the same way doctors do. I haven't seen a car mechanic try this one yet. Don't take me the wrong way Dr. Kolb; I am not trying to start an argument; I am not trying to accuse anyone; I would just like to understand.Peace & Love
