Hello, I am newly diagnoised with RA. I had a sudden severe onset 2

days after my 40th birthday. This was 2 weeks ago. The doctor put me

on 50 mg prednisone and gave me a week off. The joint pain settled (

I had it everywhere), to a bearable level, and I felt ok. When I

returned to work a week later, (cutting my prednisone down to 25mg), I

suddenly felt sick. I had 4 bad days two working and two on the

weekend, and then was prepared to feel bad on the Monday and Tuesday

knowing I had big work days but felt great. Then I had yesterday off,

and started to feel terrible in the early afternoon as per ususal. I

don't know if it's the prednisone or the RA doing this. Does anyone

else get odd pain around their eyes and in their cheek bone and also

jaw, ( I can understand the jaw, but the cheek thing has got me

preplexed). I haven't been able to get into the doctor of my choice

until the end of October, so am considering going to someone else in

the short term. I live in North Queensland but would be happy to go

anywhere in Qld. Please help. I really feel out of control here, and

would like to know just which syptoms are the RA and what is being

caused by the Prednisone.
