Debbie:

All this time, I just thought I was clumsy! I spill something on myself every

time we sit down to eat at the dinner table. It's become a family joke. We

start eating and pretty soon, I spill something on my shirt. Then someone says,

" Okay...it's dinner now. " Because it isn't dinner until Mom has spilled

something on herself. My kids have actually told me that they are going to have

their Grandma make me an adult sized bib to wear and they will have her stitch

the words, " It's dinner! " on the bib. Heehee. I just laugh. What else can you

do??!

Hi Betty and all,

I too drop food on my shirts when I am eating. For Christmas last year

my husband bought me two full size aprons to wear. I put one on every

time I eat or make something. Tempted to take one when we go out to

eat. They sure save my shirts!

Okay I wonder if it could be the meds making us clumsy.

We should take a poll or something?

I can't blame it on meds. I don't take anything for pain management at this

point. Just Tylenol, Advil or Motrin + ice packs when I can't stand the pain

anymore. But I've been clumsy for years, so I can't really blame it on RA,

either! Although I will say that I used to drop things SOMETIMES. Now, I drop

things a great deal of the time and that is caused by my inability to grip

things like I could before RA. Hope everyone has a blessed and pain free day!
