Hi. My name is Kathy. I am new here. I have been looking for a support

group for Fibromyalgia. I also have osteoarthritis with bulging discs.

I suffer from chronic pain, depression, irritable bowel disease,

sleeplessness, chronic fatigue and all the other unpleasant symptoms of

these syndromes. I am quite sure that I have had Fibromyalgia for about

twenty years. Like many of you, I was put through every test imaginable

without being diagnosed. I was told that I couldn't possibly be having

these symptoms so I was usually referred to a phyciatist. I was finally

diagnosed about three years ago by a small town doctor. I was relieved

that I have a condition with a name and real disabitlites that weren't

all in my head. I have much more that I would like to share, but first

I would like to read what the group has written. I am looking forward

to meeting you all as we support and learn from each other.

Welcome Kathy! I know the feeling with doctors giving you the run around it has

happened time and time again to me also.

Hi Kathy,

Welcome to the group. I also have fibro along with a host of other medical

problems, some of which are not related to fibro. It's great to have a

place where you can hang out, talk about your problems and learn others tips

for getting along.
