Guest guest
Diane, If you have your explantation done, you will not be disfigured if you do not get another set of implants. Many women in this group have been explanted and are not deformed. Many had a mastopexy with explantation, and most are very satisfied with their results. I did not have a mastopexy, and I'm rather pleased with the way I look. Saline implants are not safe--never have been and never will be. You are exchanging one set of poison bags for another. And having another surgery down the road if you do have CA is not what you would want. Get the silicone implants removed, have a mastopexy done with the surgery, and be happy with the body that God gave you. Saline implants must be replaced every 7-10 yrs, so keep that in the back of your head. Most ps' don't like to tell you that for fear of scaring you away. But just think, every 7-10 yrs you have to have the old implants removed and new ones put in. That is very difficult on your body, not to mention your emotions. Be happy with what you have and don't mess with what God didn't want us to mess with!! e, RN, BSN >From: " Heer " <idagirl@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Fw: About to have surgery.... >Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2002 09:04:59 -0700 > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: " by way of ilena rose " <DIANSA@...> ><Recipient List Suppressed:;> >Sent: Monday, February 25, 2002 8:56 PM >Subject: About to have surgery.... > > > > I am not sure if I am proceeding properly, but I had a couple of >questions > > I wanted to post. Guest guest
Diane I have been more satisfied after the explantation rather more than ever. (Even before implants and after implants). I feel so sexy now and super happy without them. Not only physically (appearance) do I see an improvement but mentally as well. It was the most important and greatest decision I have ever made in my life.
