I was offline while I changed locations! Yes, I'm probably crazy, but I've

rented a furnished house here, near St. , MN, for the next 4 months. I

have missed my grandchildren so much that I decided I have to be near them

for birthdays, Christmas, etc. If this works out, we will look into buying

a small place here, probably a condo, and splitting our time between

California and Minnesota since our other two children, both still single and

undecided about where to live permanently, are still in California.

We packed up what we think we'll needed and spent most of last week making

the drive, with a stop at Arches National Park in Utah along the way. The

weather has been great so far, but the weatherman says it's going to

change. I'll try to get the Arches pictures up soon!

And for my RA friends, I made a great discovery at Arches. I knew that

there was a free lifetime pass for the National Parks for those over 62, but

there is also one they call the Golden Access Pass, that is for the

disabled! No charge to get it, it's good for your lifetime for all entry

fees for yourself and anyone in the car with you, and a 50% discount on all

other park fees, like camping. As if I'm going to camp . . . If you

don't have some kind of documentation with you showing that you're disabled,

you can sign an affadavit to that effect. It took about 5 minutes to get

it.

So, as it gets colder here, please send warm thoughts my way! It's been a

long time since I lived anywhere that had snow, we'll have to see if I can

handle it.

Gentle hugs to all my RA friends,

Shoreview, MN, until April! brrrr!
