Guest guest
Hi a: I know that you are absolutely right - I should not be embarassed to use the scooter since I really do need it at times. Others can think what they want, I need to do what is best for me. The idea about going at less traffic times is a good one, and I do go to a Sam's near here. I think that next time I will be scootering around the store! Guest guest
Dear Kathe and All, I Love my scooter! Everyone wanted to take me Christmas Shopping this year because my back basket was big enough to carry all the packages. It was worth the invconvenience. I usually hit the stores at off hours just because my hands are not very good and I sometimes can't regulate things like I would like too. But SuperWalmart at 4:30 Am is a wonderful place , Love to All, Carol M.in CA
Guest guest
Good for you Kathe! The first time is the hardest, just like with anything else new. But after that you will enjoy using it so much that hopefully you won't worry about what other's think. Don't feel bad, I have a MIL that is 85 and still has not gotten in one because she doesn't want anyone to see her in one. And this woman is a DOCTOR! It took several falls for her finally to use a cane. She is coming in a few days to stay with me for a few months and one of my " jobs " will be to take her to Sam's so she can learn to use one. Little does she know that while she is here, I'm having a mobility store representative come and show us all the scooters. I'm interested in one too so it's a good time. My FIL can hardly walk at all and needs to be in one too. Yes, he's another doctor who has also fallen recently. But I can bet both of them would tell their patients to get one. Happy shopping! Just remember if you run into something, you won't be the first or the last to do so. They all have a stop button or peddle, but they usually stop quick enough just by letting go of the forward button. a On Jan 2, 2006, at 3:22 PM, Kathe Sabetzadeh wrote: > > Hi a: > > I know that you are absolutely right - I should not be > embarassed to use the scooter since I really do need > it at times.
