Did you have a big flare up after the birth of your child? Were you able to breastfeed? Well here's my experrience woth RA and pregnancy.I'v had symptoms years before i was properly diagnosed, but put it off to overworking myyself. In 2003 i was pregnant with my second child, my daughter. The begining was horrible for me since i could not keep anything down, ect. during the second trimester i felt wonderfull! Stairs were no longer my enemy. lol During the later part of pregnancy i had some trouble but it could have been from just the extra weight, streching hip joints, ect. After was born i had a full blown flare. By the time she was 2 months old i had enough of the pain. It got to the point i couldnt even pick up my baby without crying. SO i broke down and went to see a doctor. She put me on prednisonne and it got better for the time being, but i had to stop breastfeeding. It broke my heart to stop, but it was better for the both of us in the long run. She is now 2 and a half and is fiesty as ever. Me, i have my good days and bad like all of us do. Good luck in trying to have a baby. I wouuldnt trade it for the world. hugs
