Guest guest
That's a shame. Many rely on their pain meds to keep going to work everyday or even to just do basic functions of daily living. Pain mgmt. docs shouldn't have to look over their shoulders. We keep reading over and over DMARDs only help when taken early in the disease. Many are not even diagnosed until years after having the disease. So no relief from DMARDs and no pain meds -- what's left? That said, I have yet to take a pain med I could tolerate or that took the edge off except for ibuprofen, and that's all it did was take the edge off. Nothing has made me pain-free the entire 11 years. Not even the Enbrel/arava, prednisone combo which worked well in my case, but I was still not pain-free and relief was very short-lived. peace, Ebony
