Guest guest
> Gilad's Lord of the Abs: Maximum Abs this workout looks fabulous for me to do! im really glad to see gilad has stopped doing so many old standard crunches and is more about standing core work. the pace is not too fast. looks like alot of work for the shoulders while moving the ball around too. the exercises include his trademark moves like hammer throws. gilad's workouts are always high quality in many ways. but would this workout be good for you? if it were one of his cardio workouts then i would not recommend it to you at all. but since this is a weighted functional workout (and with these kinds of workouts you get out equal to what you put in), i think that you could get a good workout for core and upper body if you use a ball that is heavy enough and go in and kill it (gilad uses a 5 pound medicine ball, i would probably try it with a mere soccer or basket ball !! LOL). im thinking that the size of the ball makes a difference, as i am recalling chalene johnsons stability ball workout which was a surprising workout for the upper body, just moving that big ball around. the workout is 50 mins long so good for endurance, especially if you modify up the side-stepping breaks, but not so good for an add-on. personally, i would schedule this workout on abs/core day for sure. i hate to say a negative about gilad, but as one reviewer on collage said, he likes to repeat quite a bit and, depending on what he is doing, that can get tiresome. it is an effort to get you good with high reps, but sometimes i think he could come up with a bit more variety. :*carolyn. I was hoping you would chime in. ) I have a few size med balls (2, 3 and 6) I don't get use them very often so when I seen he was using one I thought how fun that would be. I remember him being quite repetitive so I need to keep that in mind before I buy one. I just recently bought some workouts and they were crap so I hesitate to get some I'm not sure about. It sure would be nice to have Gilad in my library again though. `* ¸*´¸.•´ ¸.•*¨)¸.•*¨)(¸.•´(¸.• (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¯`•.¸¸.
Guest guest
Ooh! I ordered the only one of Gilad's Lord of the Abs workouts that offers the other day - I think it is this one: That was the first one I was thinking about getting. Maybe I'll wait before I order to see what you think. I knew about him being on Discovery and I seen him on there for a while and then was gone. Maybe he's back again. `* ¸*´¸.•´ ¸.•*¨)¸.•*¨)(¸.•´(¸.• (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¯`•.¸¸.
