i am a nightowl who would rather sleep in. I love to

stay up late, it seems to me to be more natural. I

would rather the day be about 28 hours as well,

instead of 24.lisa

Nice coincidence of thinking.

No matter when, I am one of the second type, cant fall asleep nor wake

up easily. Recently I am trying Mianserin at very low doses (<5mg)

which helps me fall into a very pleasant sleep and I wake up 2 to 3

hours earlier than usual. I dont remember having dreams either prior

to it. I remember the report of one member about Mianserin, saying it

was helpful in reversing PSSD but I didnt exprience it yet. (On the

other hand i dont want to use it continuously, the odds are high that

it causes weight gain, I hear.)

thats weired im the same the day ends to early theres about 26-27

hours in my sleep cycle day and this can be extended to up to 30 or

so hours now and again, i can easily eat up the normal 8 hours of

sleep time and go to sleep in the morning and enjoy a good days sleep

and then do the same the next day and the next day until my sleep

pattern is rite where it started two weeks later, infact i do this

often and its only work that gets in the way of that happening. its

called non 24 hour sleep wake syndrome, blind people suffer from it.

any one out there a morning person?

ok thats 3 of us so far that are late sleepers, i also have problems

waking up it takes a while to mentally get things working and easily

turn back over and have another nap when i first wake up.

lots of drugs effect your dreams, but not remembering dreams could

have something to do with vit b6.

any morning people out there with pssd ?

ive always been a late sleeper since I was a kid only because I slept

in the morning a lot. I was tired most of the time and slept

whenever I can. For some reason it was more fun to stay up at night

times. Not anymore though, now I get really depressed at night

and even more depressed during a bad weather with no sunlights

would it be safe to say by now that no one with pssd is a morning

person then?

i was watching the discovery channel and found out that its been

recently discovered that late sleepers actually have a higher iq that

people that wake up early.

could this be related to pssd?

i once heard a wise man say " many a man have been saved from insanity

by there own stupidity "
