Guest guest
just found this " Escitalopram is a cleaner version of citalopram. Citalopram is a mixture of two molecules, which are identical except that they are mirror images of each other. Escitalopram is the molecule that actually has the antidepressant action and is now available in UK without the other molecule, which had no action. The result is the same, but escitalopram may have slightly fewer side effects and may even be slightly more effective. " if citalopram is two different molecules that are mirror images of each other, then surely its possible for it to bind to two different serotonin transporters at the same time! this could have all sorts of effects, it could make the (created) molecule unstable, possibly to heavy for proper transportation, possibly even stimulating two neighboring unassociated neurons simutanously, its even probable that the (created) molecule is to large to re enter the blood stream through the blood brain barrier, leaving it permanently floating in between neurons stimulating them contiguously. hhhhhhhmmmmmmm if this is true then it lends hand to my theory of pssd being a heightened state of wakefulness! and the sleep deprived (more sexual) experiences experienced by me and others. this is interesting! what effects would this have while you sleep? serotonin is shut down during (rem) sleep phase, this continuous stimulation would down regulate serotonin receptors. could the positive effects experienced by high dose b3 and saunas be partly to do with b3 making the blood brain barrier more permeable? does b3 make the blood brain barrier more permeable? are there any substances that you can take to make the blood brain barrier more permeable? this could be a new avenue of treatment to explore! at least for those who took citalopram. http://www.nmhct.nhs.uk/pharmacy/depr2.htm
