Guest guest
Hi Ange, Your low libido may not be indicative of PSSD, but may simply be a side effect while you are on zoloft. I would advise getting off of zoloft, and NEVER, EVER, taking another SSRI as long as you live. Hopefully you don't have PSSD, and your libido will return after you stop taking zoloft. I hope to God that thats the case. I would hate to see another victim of these terrible drugs. Try something like Wellbutrin. It may even have the opposite side effect! Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
Guest guest
I was on Lexapro and it devastated my libido and passion for life....but based on some comments by Vornan I decided to try Welbutrin...and although I am not 100% recovered...I have made great progress and my depression has lifted. I also take 3000 mg fish oil in the morning and in the evening....Good luck!!! > > I have been taking zoloft since November. Cant believe how its changed > my sex life. Guest guest
As far as I know Mirtazapine is the SSRI-like antidepressant, that gives the least sexual problems. However it can give sexual problems and then it can possibly also cause long term PSSD in some cases. I expect that no PSSD will result from any medication, if no sexual side effects are experienced during the treatment. I am not sure of this though. Actually Mirtazapine is not a real SSRI, but is related to the SSRIs. It belongs to the medicine group NaSSa. Of course there are many other possible solutions for depression than medication, like for example psychotherapy. You might also try alternative medicine for depression. And you could seek good advice for life problems. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirtazapine > > I have been taking zoloft since November. Cant believe how its changed > my sex life.
