Guest guest
First, I blame my love of expensive shoes on my grandmother. If you know that a certain shoe brand and size fits, do internet searches for clearance sales of that shoe. Most of the sites also let you search their stock my size and brand. If a store near you carries the shoe, go there and try the shoe on first. Also, you will want to check the companies return policy, email them first and ask if it isn't clearly written on the internet site. Some of them will accept returns of clearance shoes. I know that someone already mentioned buying mens shoes, with a size 7.5 I go to the boys shoes dept. I've been doing that for years, even before RA. If you are looking for a shoe with a wide toe box and narrow-ish heel, try on a pair of Keens. They only have one width of shoe, but it is pretty boxy with LOTS of toe room. Comes with a removable cushion insert so you can remove the insert and put in your orthidic (sp?). I love mine, but the tops of my feet too swollen and painful to wear much of anything right now. And the skin on my feet was thin even before the prednisone, so I get blisters easily. Right now I have blisters from shoe's laces. > Those shoes are too expensive for me. I'd have to go barefoot if they were all I could find. > > Dennis in Eastexas > " It's not Rocket Surgery "
