Guest guest
Hi everyone. It has been a long time-I read alot of new people are on this group which is always good.We need as many different types of people as possible to keep it diverse. I have to admit I have been reading your posts for the past few days--and I had forgoten how much alike we all are--and what simular symptoms as well. For the newbies==i am a 47 year old nurse who no longer can work secondary to an array of problems-like many of you my list of diagnosis goes on and on-arthritis-(?RA)- sjogrens-fibromyalgia-chronic fatigue ?lupus yada yada yada---- I do have to take a narcotic-i take vicodin es 2 times a day just to take the edge off the pain--i did go off that for over a month--to see if that was causing my falling--but it wasn't--i still fell and had a lot more pain..it has been difficult to make the doctors understand that if i do not have this medication i can not get out of bed--but my new primary understands and says thats not even a lot to be on...so dont try to make me feel weak because i need them!!! I actually have a psychologist who comes to my house every week to deal with pain management--which i suggest everyone get---being in pain ect...plays with the mind.My doctor just ordered a Physical Therapist to come to my house 3 times a week--he came today for the first time and was very smart/he also is going to get me a shower bar and toilet bars--i know alot of you dont like the equipment that comes with these illnesses- but it is alot better than asking for hlp or falling--he tells me that i have good range of motion--probably from the gentle yoga stretching I do--which iI also recommend--on bad days I can do these stretches right on my bed.. well enough about me ...i look foward to hearing from some of you and if you ever need someone to talk to I am here--you can vent on me all you want........lynn8953
