Guest guest
I have already posted the " subject " effects of MDMA on libido. It gives you very dtrong erections, the testicles feel sensitive and soft again, erections also feel " normal " again. It is much easier to get erections as well, much easier even than it would be on viagra, and in a different way. The effect is similar to sleep depriavtion when a rush of " love " feelings and energy is followed by a return to normal, and a complete disappearance of pssd. But why are you even asking me for the subjective effects of MDMA if you aren't even willing to listen? I don't understand where the theoretical stuff you sent me fits in with MDMA since you have mentioned two drugs (ssri's/nefazadone) which are almost the complete opposite of MDMA (5ht2 antagonists). > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
You are correct it is really bad for you. I think however mushrooms would not have the same effect (although it would be interesting to see). I suspect it was mainly the effect on vasoppressin and oxytocin (which not all 5ht agonist have). I would suggest that if you want to see a huge change try amphetamine once (at a mid-high dose) which brings back your personality and ability to cry. Or try MDMA once (it would be interesting and possibly very important if another member of the group tried it. Make sure you get the real thigh though - pills probably won't have the same effect from what my research on the matter suggests. But do not take it more that once. It is really strong and very bad for you. > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
I took mushrooms last year, for another purpose. Writers block. I've had more difficulty with writing and expression since the onset of PSSD. I had been behind in all my classes, and dexedrine was not really cutting it. After taking mushrooms, I was able to complete my work over the following weeks scoring A's in all subjects. I was also able to write poetry and be more romantic towards my girlfriend at the time - these effects ceased after one month, unfortunately. As for the libido while on mushrooms, it is definitely enhanced, but the amount of scattered thoughts and strange sensations don't make it an entirely practical thing to take for sexual enhancement under most circumstances. Subjectively, mushrooms seem less harmful than MDMA. There is actually an anti depressant effect that lasts for sometime, whereas with MDMA it is the opposite (additionally, I experienced uncomfortable sensitivity to cold after MDMA for 1-2months). > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
http://rxmarijuana.com/q & a.htm Q Dear Dr. Grinspoon, Of the 60+ cannabinoids in cannabis could any be beneficial in treating erectile dysfunction? Has there been any research done as yet? Sincerely, Christian A Dear Mr. Christian, A number of patients who suffer from quadriplegia and paraplegia have claimed that smoking cannabis helps them to achieve and maintain an erection. While this clinical observation may eventually turn out to have much significance, at this stage there is very little more that can be said about this possibility. As far as I know, there has been little or no research in this area. Sincerely yours, Lester Grinspoon MD
Guest guest
Im almost sure there is connection between spontaeous erection and serotonin. When I was tried tryptophan (not 5-htp, had no sucess with it) I was getting constant erection but than also my semen volume decreased and numbness got worse if I remember correctly. I think taking tryptophan alone might have caused too much serotonin or caused protein imbalance. The funny thing is which I prob mentioned millions times here is that wierdly enough trytophan on very first dose made me horny but after that it did nothing. > > > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
You are correct, the relevant receptor is the 5ht2c receptor. 5HT is generally inhibitor on testoserone though. However, it also increases oxytocin and vasoppressin somewhat, which helps to stimulate prostaglin E1, which makes tear ducts. Lack of PE1 also causes dry nose, post nasal drip and dry genitals. > > > > > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
You're complely missing my point. Mushrooms may have an antidepressant effect, however my original post was not about serotonin or tpytamines. You seem to suggest that mushrooms may have enhanced your libido, but did not completely stop the symptoms of PSSD, so you have done a complete U-turn from my original post. The mushrooms topic is completely unrelated. It is oxytocin, not serotonin that improaves smooth muslce relaxation. Mushrooms don't have nearly the same effect on oxytocin. > > > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
But what I would add to that is that I don't think the serotonin properties of the drug were the dominant cause of the erections. You can see from other posts about magic mushrooms etc that they do not have the same effect as MDMA. I think that it is the effect of oxytocin that brings smooth muscle relaxation back to normal. The effects that other people have had from tryptophan/5ht/magic mushrooms etc is probably minmal compared to sleep deprivation/MDMA induced erections. > > > > > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
Do you think that PSSD could be related to PE1 dysfunction? I can give my PSSD lab rat some pgcl and see if that makes any improvement. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg. Guest guest
Yes I think it is a pretty good possibility, although I may be wrong. I think the smooth muscle relaxation problems may be independant of Nitri Oxide (if you had low No all the time you might have heart problems). I think this would be a more clear test than oxytocin. You have to inject that stuff right into the penis though. (I think that's why nobody in the group has used it). The problem is, THE pe1 is almost certain to cause erections, but we can't know if that is the cause of PSSD. I think PE1 is also rleated to tears. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I only took a little bit of nutmeg.
