Hmmm,

I am on Xanax--.5 once a day...i never attributed it

to the loss of sexuality because i took it for a few

years before i got PSSD and have never experienced any

side effects from it, besides a little memory loss.

Maybe taking it WITH an SSRI could cause the PSSD--I

did take it at the same time as the

SSRI-similarly-acting Ultracet. Or could it be just

the benzo alone? You cannot discontinue it abruptly

because of the risk of seizures--the same with any

benzodiazapines--Klonipin, Ativan, Valium, etc etc. I

wonder how many here have taken them both--did you

take it at the same time as the SSRI? I took Klonipin

for a year before i ever took any SSRI's--it did not

affect my sexuality at all, but i did discontinue it

due to feeling like a zombie without any emotion and

sleepiness all the time. I wonder if taking them at

the same time causes the onset of PSSD??? I hope not,

i hate panic attacks.

I wasn't on any SSRI when I first noticed the bottom drop out of my sex drive,

and I had

just taken Xanax a couple times several weeks before it happened. So I don't

know, maybe

this is a dead-end lead :-).
