Hi Rhonda and Welcome!

This group is so amazing - the people here are very

supportive and caring, and there is always great

information to be found. Check out the home page

achives and files - you will find lots of great info

for newly diagnosed.

I have been dx now for 7 years, am 52, married with

two kids, almost 20 and almost 23 (5th of Jan and 28th

of this month - the holidays are extra busy here lol)

and live on a small farm in southern california with

horses and abundant fowl, and our doggies. It keeps

me busy! I also have Fibromyalgia, OA, and Raynaud's

-my hands and feet are absolutely ice, and it is

probably 70 today!

I am currently on Mtx and Enbrel, and this combo is

working well for me. Sometimes it takes a while to

find the right med/combination of meds, so be patient.

I've been through a lot of meds to get to the point I

am at! Water exercise is excellent for RA, and I am

glad that you are being proactive about being active!

It's hard sometimes to get us up and out of bed, let

alone exercise lol.

Congratulations on your new marriage! Dosen't it

always seem like everything happens at once? Sounds

like you have a great hubby. It could be helpful as

well to take him with you to a doctor's appointment so

he can hear from the doctor what you are/will be

dealing with. Checking the internet for info is great

- information is power!

Sounds like you have the same kind of cyst I have on

my right wrist - thought it was ganglion, but it is

hard and bony, and attached to the end of the wrist

bone on the outer aspect of my wrist - my doctor says

not to worry - just arthritic changes!

Take care, and glad that you are here with us, but

sorry for the reason you have to find us. hang in

there - Kathe in CA
