Blog about me, my RA, and trying Rituximab.

Hi there everyone.

My name is Melisa and I just started posting here a few weeks ago.

I am 30 (almost 31!) and have had RA for about 12 years......

Anyway, I just started Rituximab, (which is the drug not yet

approved

for use in RA, it is in the final stage of trials), after failing on

Enbrel, Remicade, and Humira.

A few people here asked that I try to post updates on how it is

going,

so the day before I went in for my first Rituximab infusion I

started

a blog on 360. It has a lot of stuff about my RA on there,

and

it is mostly to try to help my friends and family try to understand

what is going on. But, I am also trying really hard to update about

how I feel the Rituximab is working.

So, just thought I would post it here in case anyone wanted to read

- Thanks for letting us read it. You helped me explain what my life

is like. I can never find the right words- it doesnt help that I am also on

Topamax for migraines and one of the side effects is the inability to come

up with the words that I am thinking. ( It just makes me sound dumb! LOL)
