Guest guest
, I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica, not RA, but they're pretty similar. I started having symptoms in September, and it wasn't until the following June that my blood work showed anything abnormal. My rheumy says this is unusual, but it does happen sometimes. Hope you get your answers soon! Guest guest
Yes, it's possible, especially early on. I would go see a rheumatologist no matter what the labs are. Not an MD I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
Hi ! All of the RA indicator tests including the RA test came back normal for me and I have RA. Def. go to the rheumatologist. Mine could tell just by looking at my hands. She gave me a perscription for 2 meds to help with the inflamation. --- In , " " <daveschick8786@y...> wrote: > > Ok, i went to my family doctor and got blood test done for ra, i have > a lot of the symptoms, including inflammation, and i havent met with > my doctor yet but the nurse told me, that all my tests were normal, i > dont know my sed rate or anything yet, i am planning on getting copies > of that when i go see her, but she said if everythings negative (which > i think means if everythings normal) that she will send me to a > rhemhy... is that possible have a normal blood test with everything > and still have ra? im only 18, but have been experiencing symptoms for > the past year >
Guest guest
Hi : I am glad that you have been referred to a rheumy. Sometimes the lab work is negative as far as RA factor is concerned (Seronegative RA), and you can still have RA, so a rheumy is a very good idea. It's always a good idea too, to get copies of all your labs. Some people have no positive blood work, but have all of the other symptoms of RA, and that is where the dx will come from. I hope the doctor can dx you correctly, and you will then be able to begin treatment.
