Guest guest
Tomorrow is Step Forward, I'm actually enjoying having the structure of a written rotation to follow for right now. I have this series. I pull it out every now and again. Yes, following a rotation is a must for me. I hate getting up and not having a clue what workout to do. So no one has called you back from the adoption places? I don't get it. Have you considered looking at the shelter or humane society? I know they don't always have exactly what you're looking for. ´¨¨)) -:¦:-¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ~-:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
Guest guest
Hi Donna, I'm also doing Tracie Long right now - I did KickBack yesterday, along with one of the segments from YogaZone's Introduction to Power Yoga and one from Evening Stress Release (Relief?). Today is my " rest " day and I'm thinking about doing more YogaZone - maybe Yoga for Weight Loss (or some such title). I'm enjoying the YogaZone's - they are easy, but allow me to relax into the stretches because I'm not struggling. The Tracie's are harder than I remembered - obviously I'm out of shape. I did Back Up on Saturday and it about killed me. Carol Hi Everyone, I don't think I posted my workout yesterday - but it was Tracie Long's KickBack which is from her Focus series. All the Focus workouts are around 30 min. Kickback is classified as " cardio " for my Tracie Long rotation, and I would tend to agree that it is more cardio than strength. There are 3 chapters - first one is punches w/ light weights and a focus on the upper body, second chapter works the legs w/ kicks and weights and the final chapter is on the floor. I actually don't remember a whole lot, but I did enjoy it and worked up a nice sweat. I also added on the flexibility flow from Shiva Rea's Yoga for Beginners. I don't always enjoy Shiva's yoga - can't put my finger on it exactly - I liked Yoga Shakti, but didn't love the rest. This one looks promising and I think I will attempt the whole thing on Wednesday which is a " rest " day on my rotation. This one is a library borrow that is due Friday, so I guess I should try to get it done! Today I did Tracie's Longevity - Leaning Out, which is classified as " Weights " - I would agree, except for a short cardio segment, you are working w/ weights the whole time. I would describe this one as a FIRM style workout - it isn't traditional weight lifting where you work a body part the move on to the next, and so on. It includes more " functional " exercises and compound/combined movements - all of which I really like (and I like almost all FIRM workouts and that style of training). So - overall, this one was a winner for me! It starts w/ a dynamic warm-up, moves on to weight work, then a cardio section (basic, doesn't take up much space either, which is a plus for me), then more weights standing, on to the floor for floorwork for upper body (push-ups and variations), lower body (legs lifts) and abs. She does a brief stretch at the end. I should have added on more stretching, but I tend to get bored....so I didn't.... Tomorrow is Step Forward, I'm actually enjoying having the structure of a written rotation to follow for right now. I'm still on the search for a dog - but I'm feeling like I have to take a step back and let it all just come together in its own time. Talk to everyne later!Donna
Guest guest
Ooh. I have a couple of Yoga Zones, too. I should see what I have and fit them in - they are good ones. Guest guest
Hi , I have been pre-approved to adopt from a "Mutts" rescue, which is just fine and I also have an application with another "Mutts/All Breed" rescue. It is just a matter of finding the right dog. The Collie people never called me back - ??? Not sure what is going on with them, but maybe it is a "sign" that I'm meant to adopt another dog. Actually, dogs, we would like to get two! Talk to you later!Donna Subject: Re: Monday - Leaning Out & Sunday - Kick BackTo: exercisevideos Date: Monday, June 18, 2012, 9:21 AM Tomorrow is Step Forward, I'm actually enjoying having the structure of a written rotation to follow for right now. Guest guest
Thanks for the review, Donna! I'm so curious about these Long workouts! And I hope you can find the right Fuzzers for your family soon! Pets can be work, but they sure take the hard edges off life. No one loves you like they do!
