Guest guest
, sorry about your pms blues, I remember how that felt...I sure don't miss it! If I feel better tomorrow I may start X-Factor with you....depends. My sinuses are still bothering me. My sinuses are swollen under my eyes, my ears are plugged up and I still have a cough, although that is better. Tomorrow is my birthday so I'm planning to go out to lunch with my Mom. There's a local restaurant that has a discount price on their salmon every Monday so we're going there. Usually I go to Red Lobster for my birthday but this year I told my Mom that I want to wait until I'm back to normal. Nothing tastes all that great so I'd rather try a discounted salmon lunch than lobster and shrimp! Speaking of soup, that's all I've been eating the last two weeks except for yesterday when I had a Healthy Choice dinner and a Lean Cuisine for lunch. I had hamburger soup for 3 or 4 days, then Mrs. Grass chicken noodle soup then I made chicken broth soup with orzo pasta and egg (also made it once with brown rice instead of pasta.) I guess that's why I've been losing weight..eating mostly soup and I have no appetite. I'm trying to make sure I eat enough calories so I don't get sicker. - watch a funny movie, it will cheer you up! JenFrom: Pink Pussycat Subject: week in review, + pms bluesTo: "Exercise Videos" <exercisevideos >Date: Sunday, April 15, 2012, 6:33 PM Having a bad month pms wise and I've spent most of the day near tears. It's beautiful outside and I haven't even left my house, too busy cleaning and cooking and I'm bummed that you can't even TELL I've been slaving away. The good news is I have healthy meals made for the week. I've rediscovered the joys of soup and it's saved me from pigging out on worse stuff this week, so yay s / store brand equivalent! I picked up a big selection of the lower calorie ones at Winco and soup is such a good comfort food for me, what Mom used to make for me as a little LouLou.. My own soup is good too but there's something about the 's... probably the loving association with Mom. I read Donna and Carolyn's reviews of the X Factor week 1 and it will be hard to add much to their already stellar reviews! Not sure what I'm going to do tonite, if anything :/ I kind of want to to that spin dvd I still haven't had time to do. Tomorrow I'll start XF, but I'm going to do each workout three times each and It's going to take me a good 3 months or more to finish. I will continue to lift heavy at CAC, as I don't want my hard earned muscle getting eaten up too much by these more cardio type workouts. I'll figure it out as I go. Here's my week in review, around 5 hours but a lot of it was walking. Noel killed me and it was hard to do much of anything else afterward! I had the most fun this week doing the Cardioke and Turbo Kick. I am very grateful to have my home gym and home workouts for those days when I don't feel like facing the World! Guest guest
Hugs! Thanks Cola Pop!!! I've been crazy busy this week, both at work and with Life, it seems. I feel like I'm behind on everything - ug!You are right, spinning will make me feel better I will do it later if I can muster up the mental / emotional energy. I'm excited for XF though, and happy to have y'all to do it with! Guest guest
I forgot to say that I told everyone that I don't want a birthday cake yet either. Something about milk and sweets makes my sinuses worse. But I have been nibbling on my hollow chocolate Easter bunny once in a while. My hormones have been out of whack for a while now. You know you have PMS when you can watch something simple on TV and want to tear up. That's been me lately. Doing all those things that you know are good for you (cleaning, making healthy meals, planning your workouts) WILL help you. You just don't know it at the time. It passes though, thank God. Guest guest
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone! I was wiped out and napped for a few hours. Still tired / wiped out. However, I will be fully energized for XF tomorrow! I'm sorry your hormones have been crazy too hugs. I know it sounds weird but in some ways I like the weekdays because they have a dependable routine to them and it helps me. When I'm inside being a hermit on the weekend even if it's gorgeous out sometimes I feel guilty. But the cooking and cleaning has to get done sometime, right? And you can't even tell I did anything, the upstairs is still messy and I haven't vacuumed the stairs or upstairs yet, cat hair city. My one big accomplishment was I deep cleaned the half bathroom downstairs, even used the half white vinegar half water solution to clean the hardwood floors. Again you can barely tell I did anything but at least *I* know.. The positive outcome in all this is that I have healthy eats ready to grab and go for the week. Since it's so nice out I would like to run at least 3 times during lunch this week. I have no more races I'm signed up for the year so I don't need to stress out about mileage anymore, it's all for fun. Okay, done rambling. Here's to a new " X " -Cellent week! >Something about milk and sweets makes my sinuses > worse. ::nodding:: ive heard that about dairy and chest congestion too. > But I have been nibbling on my hollow chocolate Easter > bunny once in a while. ive had a few treats, mostly after easter when the candy goes on 'blowout' price where i work. but i did stop eating chocolate and candy for a while so the easter stuff just didnt taste as good as i thought it would. so i gave it away to the neighbour kids....lol. your soups sound good. after you feel better, would you consider continuing to eat lighter like that most of the time? i would not recommend that you do xfactor 1 tomorrow. it is an athletic workout and not a 'fun' workout like hip hop abs, for ex, would be. i think that you should do something fun and light and enjoy it. maybe it will help you to feel better by getting lots of air in there and loosening things up a bit. im sure that you have been using your neti pot. i have one but prefer to use hydrasense spray which really helps me alot - see hydrasense.ca the weather here is crazy, i can see why you are having sinus issues. do you have an infection and are taking antibiotics? i hope not! hang in there!!! it has to get better soon, :*carolyn. Guest guest
your soups sound good. after you feel better, would you consider continuing to eat lighter like that most of the time?I would go back to eating Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisine for Lunch or Dinner and having a spinach salad for another meal. After my sinuses are better I think I will need a break from eating soup. i would not recommend that you do xfactor 1 tomorrow. it is an athletic workout and not a 'fun' workout like hip hop abs, for ex, would be. i think that you should do something fun and light and enjoy it. maybe it will help you to feel better by getting lots of air in there and loosening things up a bit.I will probably just play volleyball for my exercise tomorrow night. I have a new knee brace I need to try out and I miss playing! I don't know about doing X-Factor if it has a lot of ups and downs because that doesn't go well with sinus problems.im sure that you have been using your neti pot. i have one but prefer to use hydrasense spray which really helps me alot - see hydrasense.caI have a Sinucleanse squirt bottle. I haven't used it in a couple of days though. the weather here is crazy, i can see why you are having sinus issues. do you have an infection and are taking antibiotics? i hope not!I went to urgent care and the Dr. only gave me a nasal spray. I've been using it everyday but it hasn't helped. In the past Doctors have gave me those stupid nasal sprays and all they do is burn the inside of my nose! I hope this goes away soon! Now my poor Mom has a sore throat..ugh Jen >Something about milk and sweets makes my sinuses > worse. Guest guest
I know the feeling, - as much as I like and look forward to the weekends, sometimes being at loose ends makes me *something* (anxious?) - oddly, by Sunday, I'm into the swing of things, but by then it is time to gear back up for the week! And, I know what you mean about cleaning and not seeing the fruits of your labor - I feel like I fight a losing battle in my house w/ clutter and dog/cat/rabbit mess (oh, and kid mess, too, but that falls under the "clutter"!) Take care!Donna>Something about milk and sweets makes my sinuses> worse.::nodding:: ive heard that about dairy and chest congestion too.> But I have been nibbling on my hollow chocolate Easter> bunny once in a while. ive had a few treats, mostly after easter when the candy goes on 'blowout' price where i work. but i did stop eating chocolate and candy for a while so the easter stuff just didnt taste as good as i thought it would. so i gave it away to the neighbour kids....lol.your soups sound good. after you feel better, would you consider continuing to eat lighter like that most of the time?i would not recommend that you do xfactor 1 tomorrow. it is an athletic workout and not a 'fun' workout like hip hop abs, for ex, would be. i think that you should do something fun and light and enjoy it. maybe it will help you to feel better by getting lots of air in there and loosening things up a bit.im sure that you have been using your neti pot. i have one but prefer to use hydrasense spray which really helps me alot - see hydrasense.cathe weather here is crazy, i can see why you are having sinus issues. do you have an infection and are taking antibiotics? i hope not!hang in there!!! it has to get better soon,:*carolyn.
