so now i have these two badges staring at me every time i look at my dashboard.i do have a goal to actually achieve the 50 floors, so that will help. but the number of times i have achieved that goal will always be wrong. i will never be able to appreciate the lifetime climbing badge(s) because it will always be wrong by 100 floors.

Ugh, so I wouldn't like that at all. I can't believe they can't take that off.

its tempting but i would lose all of my other history. counting

floors is just one aspect of the fitibt... there is also step

count, food, weight, sleep, etc. also i would have to re-earn

all of the step badges that i did honestly achieve. oh well, i

will get the 50 floors some day and just ignore the lifetime

floor count, i guess. ::shrug::

Hi Carolyn, What a bummer! I hope it doesn't affect your motivation. Assuming that it reads correctly most days, you could still use it on days when you're going after that goal. I hope they fix that bug. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary on mine.

so fitbit.com has really messed up my floor climbing goals.

as i said before, they awarded me a 50 floor badge that i did not

earn.

i contacted support and they said it was not possible for them to

take the badge away.

today i was looking at my badges and now i have two instances of

achieving 50 floors.    huh?  when did i do that?  so,  i looked

back through the history for all of march, april and may and

there is no other instance of 50 floors being achieved during

that time.

besides the 50 floor badge, they also gave me a parachute badge

for climbing a total of 1000 floors, which i also have not earned.

support cant take that badge away either.

so now i have these two badges staring at me every time i look at

my dashboard.

i do have a goal to actually achieve the 50 floors, so that will

help.   but the number of times i have achieved that goal will

always be wrong.   i will never be able to appreciate the

lifetime climbing badge(s) because it will always be wrong by 100

floors.

argh!   this problem is affecting my motivation for floor

climbing... i really like earning those badges.  oh well, i think

that the step count related badges are correct.

Oh that stinks Carolyn, but I guess you can always "subtract one" in your head.....I'm surprised that they can't just take it off...

Dol you know what happened to make it register that?Donna

> Do you know what happened to make it register that?

yes! it was an extremely windy day. i went to work and parked

my car in the employee parking lot. the distance from my car to

the store is about a 3 minute walk. so i walked to the store

for work, went out to my car and back during break, and after

work i walked out to my car again. so this 12 minutes of

walking in strong winds registered 50 floors on my device and i

was awarded the badge.

i am fully aware that strong wind and atmospheric pressure

(weird weather) has an effect on the device, and that is ok.

but they should be able to remove the erroneous badge!

so i have no idea at all how i eventually ended up with two

instances of the badge. im thinking that support was messing

around with it, trying to take the badge away at my request, and

that resulted in the second badge being added somehow.
