Guest guest
Hi , Congratulations on your team coming in second! That's great that your summer got off to such a good start. I've been doing videos at home five days a week, keeping on with my vegan diet, and am 2 pounds away from my weight loss goal finally (after a year). I'll keep doing what I'm doing to maintain it, of course, especially since I feel so much better and healthier. I never want to go back to my old, unhealthy ways. This morning I did Bob Harper's Pure Burn Super Strength, which is always challenging for me (even with just the 5-pound weights that I use, lol). I got my new Collage video catalog, too, and have my eye on a few new ones. Ronda > > Hello, everybody, > > I was away from the group for a while because I started the summer with a fitness challenge at my local fitness place. To make a long story short, it was a summer shape-up competition done in teams of three people. My team came in second place. But more importantly it helped me jumpstart my fitness and try some new things for my meal plan which have really helped. > > Now that that's over, I'm back to doing videos at home. And I just got the latest catalog from Collage! > > I did hear about the tragic loss of Judy. That's so sad! She will be missed. > > So what's new with the rest of you? > > >
Guest guest
Ronda, How long have you been vegan? I have been a vegetarian since I was 14 (38 now). I have tried to be a vegan on and off... Jeanette
Guest guest
Jeanette, Hi! I've been vegan since July 1st of last year, so almost one year. I've tried being a vegetarian a few different times in my life, but always went back to eating meat after a few months or so. This time, I feel like I would never want to go back. I feel so much better eating vegan than I did as a vegetarian (even with lactaid supplements, dairy was getting harder and harder for me to tolerate). Also,I haven't been sick at all in the last year, even in spite of my family members and people at work being sick all around me, and before I usually would get a couple colds and/or the flu every year! That's made me feel more committed than ever to stick with it this time. I've pretty much lost all my cravings for cheese now, which was my biggest worry when I started. I sometimes have grilled cheese sandwiches now, using Earth Balance vegan butter, and Daiya vegan cheddar shreds. Those taste really good! That's great that you've been a vegetarian since such a young age. I really believe veg-diets are the healthiest way to eat. I have a 21-year old daughter who has been a vegetarian all her life. We would try and try to get her to eat meat when she was little, but she was very resistant, and we finally gave up! She's been a great example for me over the years. Guest guest
Hi, , This morning I did Amy's Kickbox Xtreme. So far I've only done the first premix on that DVD, but I'm going to work up the courage to try one of the others soon, I hope. I've got one of Ilaria's DVDs (Powerstrike 6) and I'm hoping to maybe get another one of hers too. For resistance I'm doing a few months of Jeri's Get Ripped series too. How about you? What have you been doing? > > > > Hi ! > Good hearing from you. I'm glad the program at the fitness center > worked well for you. What have you been doing? Kickbox Xtreme is a good one!! I've never tried any of Ilaria's workouts. I came close to buying one, but people told me I probably wouldn't like her. I don't know. I'm thinking about pulling out Jari's workouts soon and doing a rotation. I remember a few of us girls here doing a rotation of hers every year. Carolyn, do you remember that? Good to see you posting again, ! -:¦:-¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ~-:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
Guest guest
I've been seeing Noel again and my workouts most of the time these days are at the gym, killing one body part at a time for 30 minutes, 3 sets of 10 for 5-6 exercises, with 30 minutes of cardio afterward, usually the eliptical. I've been taking Group Kick and sometimes Zumba at the gym, but do miss Studio LouLou. I'm still trying to figure out how to do both morning and evening workouts using both facilities without collapsing by the end of the day. I need to make my gym membership dues worth it by going.. but miss my videos too. As we all say time and time again, " so many workouts, so little time " This morning I did Amy's Kickbox Xtreme. So far I've only done the first premix on that DVD, but I'm going to work up the courage to try one of the others soon, I hope. :)I've got one of Ilaria's DVDs (Powerstrike 6) and I'm hoping to maybe get another one of hers too.For resistance I'm doing a few months of Jeri's Get Ripped series too.How about you?
