Don't know why. PatB
Guest guest
This isn't exactly a pattern, but I believe there is a link between the PA, and that I have POF, premature ovarian failure, sometimes called early menopause. The doctors opinion is that the POF is an autoimmune attack on the ovaries. This happened around the same time as my PA became noticible enough for a diagnosis. PA is also an immune system problem, attacking the joints, ligaments tendons etc. So i think there is something common between the two. -April At 05:59 PM 1/31/01 +0000, you wrote: >... Guest guest
Hi , No, your not crazy. I also experience breast pain, usually during menstration. I have had mamograms and breast sonograms , everything normal. I think it is just inflamation. Motrin works for me. I have had it for so long that I really don't worry abt it any more it always passes. I wish I could tell you more. Good Luck
Guest guest
hi shelly, i get the same thing, it can be vry painful. two things that i have started that have pretty much taken that pain away is.....evening primrose oil. I take it twice a day with meals. I also find sublingual b-vitamins... folic acid and b12 in particular everyday has helped. I started these a month ago when the breast pain was at it's worse and this month it was barely there. these were recommened to me by my naturopathic doctors. hope this helps. oh, also stopping caffiene intake can really make a difference. take care scuba
Guest guest
Hypothryoid or Hashimotos can cause PMS breast pain. Have you had your thyroid checked lately? Guest guest
Hi Yes, that is happening to me big time. But I am also at that age where it could just be my body transitioning into menopause (luckily no other symptoms). I've be taking methotrexate since 2000. I have all the usual fatigue, aches and pain but it's a thousand times worse without the it. I am also taking Humira every other week. Guest guest
HI Everyone, I have a question for women of this group.....men, cover your ears. Has anyone else on mtrx had any changes in their period? I read that it can cause infrequent and irregular mensturation, but when I was on it a few years ago, I never had that happen. Im back on it, about 5 years later, and it seems to always be delayed a couple weeks now. Im wondering if anyone else has had this experience, and if so, whether or not it is something persistant, or will it work itself out as my body adjusts to the drug. Sorry to get so....cough, cough...personal. thanks ladies! melanie >
Guest guest
Hi, No, I have had no problems. Than again I went through menopause at the same time I was diagnosed with RA. What a double whammy! --- In , Hertling <mchertling@...> wrote: > > > HI Everyone, > I have a question for women of this group.....men, > cover your ears. I'm on the depo provera shot for birth control, so i dont get periods hardly at all. Possibly spot here and there but nothing nasty. I've noticed that i can get a yeast infection verrry easy if i am not carefull. So i have to watch what soap i use, detergent, fab softener, ect. Mtx has done wonders for me and i'm keeping my fingers crossed it will keep doing so. HUGS http://www1.myspace.com/julz2kidz
