Jen, I'm so excited for you!  With spring coming my maternal kitten urges are going wild but I have two wonderful Creamsicle kittehs and am at my limit. Please send pics of your new baby!!!  Kitteh mew mews

In case you don't know I've been going " kitten " crazy since January!  First looking for a breeder that sells Traditional Siamese kittens then deciding on which breeder I want to buy a kitten from.

I knew I wanted a Siamese kitten because I've had them since I was 3 yrs old!  I tried looking through shelters but unfortunately or fortunately there aren't many Siamese kittens available for adoption.  I want a kitten because I think my 20 year old Blue Point Siamese would accept a kitten better than a full grown cat.

So I decided to get the kitten from a breeder about an hour and half drive from us.  She has been emailing me every week and sending me pictures of the kittens (there are 6 kittens in the litter!)     FINALLY this week

she told me that my baby is ready to come home!  I will pick up my Seal Point Siamese boy tomorrow!I'm so EXCITED!            Jen

Ever since I had to put my beloved Gizmo to sleep my heart has been aching for another kitty to help heal it. I will be getting another kitten probably in June or July (that kitten hasn't been born yet.) I'm getting two kittens because Mia is 20 and I know she won't live much longer and instead of having two cats years apart, I'd rather have them months apart in age. YES I will post pictures. Hopefully I can take some good ones with my cellphone., I knew you would be the first to reply to this post!CAT LOVERS UNITE! Jen

Lots of work. Both my dogs were from rescue. I never wanted to start

with a puppy and after these 2 I think maybe we could have a bit more

fun with a puppy. A few more healthy years before the visits to the vet

start to become a routine, KWIM?

Puppies are soooo cuuute.

They sure are. They grow up so fast. I love all little animals.

We have guinea pigs, hamsters, fish too. DH is allergic to cats :0(

He is thinking about  goats LOL. I am not ready for that yet.

Kittens are CUTE too!

ha ha, that's a good one. Actually he wants to get milk from the

goats. He is a practical guy, he wants a useful pet. LOL

I heard pot bellies are smart. I am not sure if we need a permit to

keep one. There is always something on TV, people have to give up

their chicken pets, pig pets, etc. I wanted tortoises in the

backyard to mow the lawn but they would outlive us and then what do

we do? ;0)

BTW my mom has 5 cats now. There was a time when she had 18 and she

is not a hoarder. We were scared there at some point how many more

she was going to get. 5 is more reasonable compared to the 18. DH

was dying from allergies when we visited. Poor guy.

Get DH a pot-belly pig, they are suppose to be good

pets!

LOL,

I admire and support rescue but for my competitive needs in agility.. I prefer good breeder and like to support good ones.. I can't have the health and mental issues that sometimes come with rescues but then there never is a guarantee. I work with rescue and lots of nice dogs come thru!j To: exercisevideos Sent: Sunday, April 22, 2012 11:42 PM

Ooooohhhh. I had goats! I miss them so much!! They can be escape artists and get

into trouble, but they are worth it! They live in their own reality, which is

quite different. They were affectionate like dogs, too.

Sorry to hear of your family health problems. We just learned this week that Dad

should avoid vitamin K, and Mom has a B12 deficiency. New diet plans for us,

too.

Ours were milk goats. Nubians. Great milk -- both my boys were raised on it. One

milk goat will supply a family easily -- but NEVER get just one goat -- they are

herd animals and tend to go a little nuts if all alone. Don't get a breeding

buck, either! They stink to high heaven. We had 3 does and 2 wethers for our

" flock " and took the does to a breeder for breeding.

Indyrose,

who thinks goatsmilk ice cream is the best!!
