Guest guest
I had done this once before, so I did not do the " New to class " option. I was surprised at how well I remembered the moves. Most are classic Chalene moves anyway, so if I " listened up " (she didn't need to tell me to ;-) I could follow easy. I think you need to be a Chalene fan, though. I modify the pivot movements a lot throughout this. My shoes and workout floor just don't allow me to pivot on the balls of my feet as she say to do. I think it gives my abs a bit more workout by planting my feet and hips, and doing all the rotation from the abs up. I know I don't exactly follow the program as planned, but it's suiting my purpose, and I'm getting great workouts from it! Indyrose, who sure hopes Dad comes home from the hospital tomorrow... Guest guest
Thanks for asking! Dad is still in the hospital, wanting to get out. They said maybe tomorrow. Luckily he's not in much pain at all, but the clot is taking its sweet time in dissolving! Mom is " lost " without him, and I'm not sure what to do with her. She doesn't like TV, her eyes are too bad to read, she didn't have hardly any hobbies, and her mind is too befuddled to learn anything new. :-( About all she does is eat and sleep. :-( > > > > Subject: Wednesday Turbo Fire " Fire 30 " > To: exercisevideos > Date: Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 9:58 PM > > > > Â > > > > I had done this once before, so I did not do the " New to class " option. Guest guest
It sounds like she needs more stimulation. Can you get family or friends over for tea or play cards or just cook and talk together? It is really hard for some older people to go on alone, they feel lost without each other. > Thanks for asking! Dad is still in the hospital, wanting to get out. They said maybe tomorrow. Guest guest
I fear Mom's " too far gone " for that. We've tried games before, and it just embarrasses her that she doesn't understand things anymore. She'll tell us to go on and play -- she'll just watch... We take her to the grocery once or twice a week, but that may stop as her balance/physical condition deteriorates. All I'd need is for her to take a nose dive at Kroger's... There are people in and out of our house all the time, so there is plenty of social interaction, when they want it. But as I said, I think Mom's a bit too far gone. Half the time she's not sure who I am -- I'm often her niece or sister-in-law. :-( Indyrose, hoping Dad will be home tomorrow! > >> > >> > >> From: Indyrose<indyrose@> > >> Subject: Wednesday Turbo Fire " Fire 30 " > >> To: exercisevideos > >> Date: Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 9:58 PM > >> > >> > >> > >> Â > >> > >> > >> > >> I had done this once before, so I did not do the " New to class " option.
