Guest guest
Hi, My DH and I have had several cats and he also had cats growing up - he just isn't into cats. I would be ok w/ getting another cat and also having a dog. Overall, I'm more of a dog person than a cat person, although I think in many ways having a cat is easier - they don't need to be walked, they are easier to potty train, they are smaller and generally cleaner (except for the hairballs and litter box!), and if they don't like someone or something, rather than bark and growl they just walk away and hang out by themselves. I don't know if I can convince my DH to get another cat - probably not. DD and I wouldn't mind one though;. There ya go! `* ¸*´¸.•´ ¸.•*¨)¸.•*¨)(¸.•´(¸.• (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¯`•.¸¸
Guest guest
All cats aren't made equal. Different breeds have different characteristics. For example, Oriental cat breeds can be taught how to walk on a leash (I would use a harnise if I decided to teach one of my kittens.) Some cats LOVE the water, some cats can fetch like a dog. Some cats are very vocal and can live from 15 to 20+ years (Siamese.) It's too bad your DH isn't into cats. I would rather have a Siamese than a dog but if I lived in a big house with a fenced in yard I would get me a Brown Lab for sure!
