Would a opioid receptor antagonist include Methadone? If so it would explain whi I am having orgasms now. I suffer from fibromyalgia and after Oxycotin did not touch my body pain I was switched to a small dose of Methadone 10mg 2 to 3 times a day. It is great for pain and Orgasms have returned. I also take 5htp and Gaba.

Hi Judy, I think u have to be very careful, naltrexone blocks the action of methadone, so methadone will have no effect, and u will have much pain. It is said in the patient information leaflet that one has to wait1 week at least after having taken an opoid for the last time until taking naltrexone. However u are right there probably is a link between opoid-receptors and the ability to haveorgasms. However almost any processes in the brainare interconnected in my opinion.

Judy,

Were you unable to have any orgasm at all, or just with a partner?

I was unable to orgasm at all. Now I keep from doing it alone so that I have more fun with my partner. pre SSRI I was only good for one, but it was very intense, Now it is the same

only one, but that one knocks your socks off even if you are not wearing any.

Thankyou for the warning concerning naltrexone. What is Naltrexone normally prescribed for? Just curious. I was not planning to try it as things are much better now.

FYI I am taking Cynbalta 60mg. daily for about 9 months. Prior to that I was on Lexapro for 1 year and Prozac for 16 years and was non orgasmic totally unable to become aroused.

Good for you.

I have not convinced my guy to refrain from self-pleasure so that he might have

At doses around 3 and 4.5 mg, what possible harm could

it be? I think this is worth a try.
