Guest guest
> Carolyn, an exercise I like to do for the side abdominal area is > grab a heavy weight or kettlbell say in the right hand and then > bend left while standing. Maybe you could sub that for the side > planks? hiya pinky!!! i did these standing side crunches as a substitute yesterday for xfactor rope pulls. these seemed to be a good sub. i dont use weights for it though as im afraid of building a thick waist (from past experience). i could use a light one though. thankyou for the suggestion. ribs are feeling alot better today, i will see tomorrow if im brave enough to try the side planks while using elbow/forearm for support. (probably not!). i was also thinking of something that gilad does. he lays down on his side with his head laying on arm. then he has you lift your obliques off of the floor. no hip raising or anything else, just your oblique is to rise up to leave a space between it and the floor. then you are to keep it like that as you do your leg raises or whatever. sounds simple and easy but is harder than it looks. so i might just try to do that! :*carolyn.
