Guest guest
Hi everyone: I know I have thousands of posts to catch up on, and with all that's going on, I doubt I will ever get around to it, but I will try to. I had to move because the house I was living in was being sold. I was fortunate to find another place to live that is in the same neighborhood that I already lived in. I have been packing and moving things slowly for the past 2.5 weeks, and feel like crap! I had professional movers come for the big stuff, but didn't have the money or time to get everything all ready for them to take over. I have been getting help with the lifting, but the packing, unpacking and purging my household of the stuff I no longer use or need has been very exhausting. To make matters worse, I have been taken off all my RA meds. I have dental surgery, a spinal tap and another MRI to be done ..... so I had to taper of the Prednisone and stop taking MTX and Plaquenil. The pain is UNBELIEVABLE at times. I was at my doc's office yesterday, and he prescribed me Demerol and a new sleeping pill - Amytriptaline (sp?). Seems to work better than the Percocet I was taking, but he said the next option would be Morphine tablets if the Demerol didn't do the trick. Anyone else take Demerol? It makes me all warm and I get really groggy on it. I can't take it if I need to do something during the day, but it works so that I can go 4-6 hours without waking up for more pain meds. I hope you're all doing well. I've missed my little RA " family " , and I appreciate everyone who took the time to read my little ramble here. Guest guest
I hope that you enjoy your new place. I personally hate moving!!! It is so awesome that it is in the same area! Sorry that you are having so much pain. I hope that the demerol does the trick! Did you mention to your doc about the heat/warmth sensation? What is the spinal tap and MRI for? Please let us know what's up when you get a chance! Take care. Guest guest
, Welcome back. Moving is just awful and I know how difficult it is. Being taken off of your meds makes it even worse. I hope things will get back to normal soon and you can rest. a On Apr 29, 2006, at 1:08 AM, ltlmisscrankypants wrote: > Hi everyone: > > I know I have thousands of posts to catch up on, and with all that's > going on, I doubt I will ever get around to it, but I will try to. > > I had to move because the house I was living in was being sold.
