Guest guest
Have fun at Zumba Ronda! I was bummed to have missed it last night, but I wasn't feeling well and just did a dvd later. Hugs That's a great attitude, Jen, and you WILL succeed! Almost 7 hours of exercise...wow, that is awesome and very inspiring. I usually only get in around 4. This morning I walked for 45 minutes. I've been doing workouts on my treadmill this past week, because I've made my son sleep on the couch in the living room (where I usually do my videos) to keep a closer eye on him since his seizure episode last week. He's been very tolerant about my worrying, at least, but everything continues to be fine. I'm also going to do a Zumba class tonight with my daughter (and another daughter might come with us, too), which is always a blast! Guest guest
Thank you, ! I did have fun, and my 20 and 21 year-old daughters did it, too, which made it even better. They both want to make it a regular Tuesday night thing. I'm sorry you weren't feeling well and missed your class. I hope you're feeling better today! Ronda > > Have fun at Zumba Ronda! Guest guest
Thanks Ronda! How does your son feel? Does he feel sick or out of it?I did really bad with food today (had fast food for the first time in a long time.) It tasted good but I don't like how I felt afterwards....very tired. Tomorrow I'm back to "my" eating plan. Jenp.s. My little 3 month old kitten Sonny had a his second shot today. He now weighs over 3 pounds. The way he eats he may be bigger than his big brother Max (he is 21 weeks old.) Guest guest
Jen, My son has been feeling fine this week, besides having sore muscles for the first few days. He's restricted on his driving and swimming for 6 months now, which will be hard. (He just got his first car a month ago!) I know what you mean about feeling not-so-wonderful after fast food. I have it maybe about once a month now, and I usually stick to Subway or Taco Bell (the bean burrito minus cheese, or 7-layer burrito minus sour cream & cheese). I feel like I'm getting a " fun " food, but don't feel too yukky afterwards. I'm glad your kitties are doing well. I bet they are just so cute and fun to have around! My cats are ages 1-12 now, and they are very entertaining. Three of them are cuddlers (Daisy, Missy, and Louie). Daisy thinks that any time I sit down that I must have a cat on my lap. And one () pretty much avoids me (but that one is my son's cat). Ronda Thanks Ronda! How does your son feel? Does he feel sick or out of it? Guest guest
I'm in the same boat, Jen! It sucks! I love to eat and drink as much as I love to exercise but if I don't start tracking my intake again I'll never reach my goals! Guest guest
I usually bring a Subway sandwich to work on Mondays because that's my long day interpreting a college math class and tutoring. I get a foot-long black forest ham and eat half for lunch and half before I play sand volleyball. It's lower calorie than the other subs. My kitten Max is 21 weeks now (will be 22 weeks this Friday) and he seems to be more attached to my Mom but you never know because he's still a kitten. He is my problem child, gets into more trouble than any other kitten I've had. My other kitten Sonny is 12 weeks old (will be 13 weeks this Sunday) and he is more friendly. He comes up to me meowing and wanting me to pet him. He's still pretty little but very tough...he has to be living with Mad Max! The two of them are hilarious to watch! Although my Mom thinks they play too rough sometimes...I just think they're being kittens.I should post more pics of them, Jen Subject: Re: Jen's Weigh-In for Sunday 07/29/12 ****************To: exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, August 1, 2012, 9:10 AM Jen, My son has been feeling fine this week, besides having sore muscles for the first few days. Guest guest
I need to start losing weight now for another reason. If I keep gaining weight, my thyroid medication won't be effective and I will gain more weight because my body doesn't make enough of the thyroid hormone. I don't have an Endocrinologist to go to right now (I didn't like the one I saw) so I have to get this under control now. For those who don't know, I have hypothyroidism, which means I have a slow metabolism. The less I weight the less hormone I have to take. The more I weigh, the more hormone I have to take to maintain my metabolism.I got myself into this and now I'm going to get myself out of this! Jen > Even though I had a gain this week I FINALLY realized > something...if I don't start watching what and how much I eat > (especially) as well as exercise to keep it off, I will NEVER > lose any weight, I will gain weight instead, DUH! yeah it is a sad fact of life. i knew this, and you already knew this too, but it took me years to finally accept it. sounds like you have finally accepted it as well. and that is a very big step to take, jen. i know that it is hard, but it is what we have to do! :*carolyn. Guest guest
Thanks! I just don't want to have to find an Endo and ask for a higher dose of levoxyl when I know I got myself into this situation. Guest guest
Why do you think it was YOU who got yourself into a thyroid situation? It's an imbalance in an important gland...it can happen to anyone! Please don't think that it was your fault! Thanks! Guest guest
Not my thyroid problem. It's my fault that I re-gained all of the weight I had lost. I got all stressed out about certification tests I had to pass to be able to work. And then I was upset about my cats, then my Mom... The last few years have been bad for me and my family. But I should have found a better way to cope other than gaining weight.
