Mother Hen Kraft here wishes you were all on Facebook too so if you guys didn't post for any length of time we would learn why (I know it's not for everyone and I don't fault you your reasons, I'm just sayin').

I'm on facebook, but I NEVER post my status. I don't know if you see where I click the like button on some stuff? but other than that I'm not active at all. I mostly have it so I read the funny stuff people post and I have some TV shows on there along with stores that give away stuff.

I'm not sure I want to be a mod but I did want to say I have a fb page but never post to it so I was thinking this morning about telling DH that if something happened to me that I want him to post something here at some point. He probably would never ever think about it even if I say anything to him though and while my kids would, I don't want to burden them with that fear so I'm not going to say anything to them. I'm thinking instead, people like me, could possibly email you privately, , with our home contact info and if we don't post for an extended period and efforts to contact us go unanswered, you can contact our homes? If you have other mods maybe they can also have that info? What do you think?

Carolyn I feel the same way, I miss, as so aptly put, "Bad Judy" and all her stories, workout struggles and triumphs, her cool dog agility videos. Hi!I could be back up monitor if no one else wants to - what do you guys think of having a "buddy" system where we exchange contact information with one other list member, just in case. We can share our family member's e-mail or phone # so if one of us goes missing and doesn't respond to an e-mail the "buddy" can check in with the family member to make sure everything is ok?? I was thinking how the internet has changed our lives and how we are friends with so many people that we never or rarely meet in person - yet, we still are friends and share our thoughts/feelings in some ways on a deeper level (b/c there is no "judgment") through our writing. In some ways, the internet sort of breaks down barriers in that we're able to interact with people we would never "meet" in person at all

I really like this idea, Donna. It's true that most us never meet face to face, but we share very intimate aspects of our lives here. We get to know each other so well, and we really are friends.I feel closer to you than I did with most of the people on FB (outside of family).
