Guest guest
Hi Dreamer: Wow! I certainly hope his incompetent staff were given a dressing down by that doctor - how awful for you to have made that long drive, been early, and still had to go through that bad treatment. At least your doctor did call you, and offered you medication. I have been on Enbrel for the past six months, and have had good results with it. I also take Mtx which was just increased to 12.5 because I have been having more RA pain. But, even though my RA is giving me problems, it has been better with the Enbrel. I give myself two shots a week - no big deal with that, and I can feel when it is time for my shot by how my joints are doing lol. Hope you were not too stressed out by the doctor appointment thing - hope your daughter has a happy birthday! Kathe in CA --- dreamer_plus < Kathe " To ride a horse is to borrow freedom. Guest guest
I have to admit, I think my docs personality goes well with mine. I like to banter and he seems to be able to banter right back. I warned him first visit when he wanted me to start prednisone I am bipolar and was nervous to do prednisone....he teased me and said you do not act bipolar, I said well, right this second I am " fine " but put me on prednisone and it will change. So, he put me on prednisone AND demanded I quit smoking, which I did NOT want to do. Yes, the prednisone instantly made me manic.....so I couldn't sleep- and yeesh, now I was trying to stop smoking while all wild and up all nite. He had me call him to " check in " and I called him names. I was pretty mad at him, in withdrawl, physically miserable due to extreme nicotine withdrawl PLUS the RA symptoms were not easing up. He accepted my calling him names, bantered and chatted with me, kept a sense of humor, negotiated and compromised with me.... it might all work out. and it will be due to his personality if his personality stays this way. He does seem to remember and keep in mind people are all human. That is a big plus in my book. I left his office pretending to be all so brave and whatever, like it was not hard at all to find a new rheumy (UG!, it sure was HARD) but got toparking lot and was gonna cry.but decided I was too tired to bother, LOL. When he called I gave him some attitude and cold shoulder....he accepted it- and humored me out of it. I guess he passed my test. I did not realize till tonite when he called it all depended on how he handled things- he handled them good. I am gonna hang in here. - In , Kathe Sabetzadeh <lv2ryd@...> wrote: > > Hi Dreamer: > > Wow!
