Guest guest
I think this is one I actually did and I just used the step instead of the band. Nice on the mild DOMS! Any foot news / new prognoses? Got my 20 minutes in with today. I lost count of how many times she said " Listen up " in this one but for some reason it didn't bug me too much. The workout was a virgin and it was okay. Kind of boring. The music was almost inaudible, as it is in most of these PowerFits. I have to find good workout music to play on my own. It was hard to keep going sometimes because there's a lot of repetition and with no music my mind kept drifting, then I'd miss cues and really, it was not a difficult workout to follow, just difficult to keep paying attention to! :-) It was not at all foot-friendly for me either. It was all low-impact but lots of lateral movements. I did okay, I think I'm still okay, last night was good, but I will know better later and will try to take it a bit easy after work this afternoon (this is my easy day too). This one was also straight cardio, no strength intervals which is unusual for these workouts. She incorporates the band just because she thought she had to by laying it on the floor and having you step over it doing basic step, v-step, pivot step, etc. Dumb. Really dumb. Trying not to step on it and paying attention the cues when my mind was drifitng and trying to watch out how I put my weight down for some of the moves (using whole foot instead of toes as much as possible) often made it difficult not to step on the darn thing and when I did, then I felt like I " messed up. " Stupid. I doubt I'll use the band next time, it was just an annoyance, not a help. I put a lot of effort into especially arm movements today but some legs too (you power up on this one by raising your arms over your head... something tells me we're not doing The FIRM anymore, Toto) and actually felt like I'd sort of worked out. That's two days in a row of actually feeling like I worked out! ;-) I do have a little bit of DOMS from my adventures with yesterday too. Very cool. Insane day tomorrow, have to figure out how I'll get 20 minutes in (might be two 10 minute workouts) but I will.
Guest guest
Don't sound like you had too much fun with this one. I hate when instructors repeat what they say, gets really annoying. I remember doing that on her show on cable many moons ago. ~~ Sent from my Thunderbolt 4GLTE ----- Reply message -----To: <exercisevideos >Subject: PowerFit Harmony 5 Cardio - Move ItDate: Wed, Apr 25, 2012 11:26 am Got my 20 minutes in with today. Guest guest
That's a really good idea and it would probably make the workout more interesting too! My feet are both doing pretty well. Sunday & Monday nights were not too good (after MUCH up & down stairs carrying heavy boxes) but they not horrible either and then they were fine last night and that was after a 40 minute workout and a full day of work. Today's workout had MUCH lateral movement so we'll see tonight how it goes but so far, I'm feeling good. I know it sounds like I'm pushing it too much but it seems the only way I can find out if I'm healed is by doing the things that usually aggravate the neuromas. If they flare then I know I'm not there yet BUT the cool thing is, that before, all the up & down stairs would have made me miserable day and night for days and it was just mild to moderate pain/discomfort for a little bit of 2 nights so that is progress. Oooh, even more so, is that the left foot, the less severe of the two, hasn't been bothering me at all for at least a week so that one really might be healed and I finally do have hope for the right. I have no idea when I'll be back to full speed but at least I'm pretty sure I will be and hopefully in not too many more weeks/months. I see my footie doc tomorrow for another ultrasound treatment and I'm pretty sure he'll have me come back again next week because of the problems earlier this week. We'll see what goes after that. Thanks for asking!! Re: PowerFit Harmony 5 Cardio - Move It I think this is one I actually did and I just used the step instead of the band. Nice on the mild DOMS! Any foot news / new prognoses? Guest guest
>I lost count of how > many times she said " Listen up " in this one okay, right there is why i will NOT do this workout! i have complained about stephanie saying that in the powerfits that i have done. maybe it is the way she says it too. it just sounds rude to me! the actual workout sounds lousy anyway... thanks for letting me know, nancy. maybe i will do it as a sick day workout sometime... with the sound off....LOL :*carolyn. Guest guest
LOL! For some reason, the "Listen up" in this one didn't bug me. I don't think she had the same tone of voice most of the time. I know what you're talking about with the rude tone too. It isn't a terrible workout, it just isn't a great one either. Good for a sick day if you don't have others that inspire you more! Definitely use your own music (and drown her out I suppose)! :-) Re: PowerFit Harmony 5 Cardio - Move It >I lost count of how> many times she said "Listen up" in this oneokay, right there is why i will NOT do this workout!i have complained about stephanie saying that in the powerfits that i have done.maybe it is the way she says it too. it just sounds rude to me!the actual workout sounds lousy anyway... thanks for letting me know, nancy.maybe i will do it as a sick day workout sometime... with the sound off....LOL:*carolyn.
