And tonight I'm going to a meeting at the local fitness place for a 6-week boot camp Summer Shape Up that I'm signing up for. The contest works in 3-person teams. I'm going to do it just to jump start my summer fitness.

That sounds like fun, . Keep us posted on how it goes for you.

My month was about the same as the others so far. I think I got in 23 days of workouts.

Hi

The boot camp sounds good. I work best when I am accountable to someone.

Otherwise I lose motivation easily because I want results NOW. Like a 5

year old. (oops)

I worked out every day. Which is some work for me because I am so busy

but I made the effort to fit it into the days. To keep it more exciting

I run, I do aerobics on TV as well as strength training, jump rope, play

tag and soccer with my kids, walk up and down the staircase at home

(holy cows does that hurt my legs LOL), if we go to the pool I swim

while DH plays with the kids, and I walk my dog. Most days I do 2 of

these for variety and to make sure I burn as much as I can handle. I

burned about 1200-1500 calories per day and I kept the 500 calorie

deficit but it was hard. I was hungry. The protein shake for breakfast

is not enough for me. By lunch time I feel I'm passing out from low

blood sugar, and that's with a morning snack at 10am, and I am not even

diabetic.

I lost 3 lbs in March.

My goal right now is not so much weight loss but to get into a routine

that will work long term.

For example most days exercise fits into the day only at night after the

kids are asleep. However it does not let me sleep very well. I have a

hard time falling asleep. It also makes me too tired to get up in the

morning and start exercising to switch from the night. I have become a

night person since my kids were born. I also want to go to bed earlier.

These are my biggest goals actually. Going to bed at 2am is early for

me, some nights I end up in bed at 4 or 5am and it has to change.

I am looking forward to the better weather so I can drag the kids out

and that way I don't have to miss my run. I actually prefer running for

burning calories even though I hate running. But I always feel good

afterwards that I did it.

I also want to work in my backyard; I always have big projects going.

The key is to not get hurt in the process.

Goals:

1. daily exercise to burn fat

2. balanced meals

3. enough sleep and at the right time

I am going to dig up my other exercise videos, I have some yoga,

qi-gong, P90X and Insanity, hip hop abs, even some pregnancy yoga LOL

and I can't remember what else.

Let me know how the boot camp goes.

I did 27 workouts in March. :)

I'm doing good so far for April, too...2 runs and 3 videos.

Yesterday, I did Skinny Bitch Body for the first time, and I wasn't really

impressed with it. I was aiming for a somewhat lighter workout, but I barely

broke a sweat at all during the whole hour. So I'm not sure if I'll be doing

that one again.

This morning I did Jillian's No More Trouble Zones, and that's a great workout

for me!

Good luck for the rest of April, and the boot camp Shape-Up. Sounds like that'll

be a fun way to get ready for summer!:)
