Guest guest
Great job, ! Sounds like a good plan - sometimes you really just have to lay off of an injury and let it heal completely - it is really hard to do - but I think in the long run it will heal faster that way (of course, I'm terrible at taking my own advice...) I'm glad your DH is busy - that is so helpful both in terms of mental outlook and in actually getting a job. I really hope something good happens for you and him SOON!Donna Subject: Push-ups & I Want Those ArmsTo: exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, May 23, 2012, 8:07 AM Insane morning and who knows what the afternoon/evening will bring so I did a very quick workout this morning. Did my push-ups while the I Want That Body DVD got through all the intro stuff I can't fast forward through (and there is a lot on this DVD). I did 30 knee push-ups today. I found the "point of exhaustion" with these. Those last 5 were extremely tough to get through and I wasn't sure I'd make it through the last one, my form probably wasn't good but I was trying very hard to hold my abs tight (which are a little sore from yesterday's pilates extreme too). I'm thinking I might keep trying to do 30 each time I workout for now, until they get easier and then add on. That's my plan for now but we'll see. I did program 2 of I Want Those Arms. It is a quick 15 minutes but I really like it a lot. I used 5s (10s for the concentration curls) but I think I'll try 6s or 7s (and 12s or 15s for concentration curls) next time. This one is all seated except one exercise on the floor so very foot friendly. I might alternate between floor core work and this or other mostly seated upper body for now. My arms, thanks to pre-exhausting them (I guess that's what that is) with the push-ups, are lightly toasted and I'm feeling my abs too. Wonderful! Feet are feeling better but I need them to totally heal so my plan is for at least most of the month of June to not stress them whenever possible. I'm not sure what is happening with our health insurance after 5/31 and I know we can't afford $35 co-pays every week for me to keep seeing the podiatrist after that so I REALLY need them to heal. All is going well on the job hunt front. Lots of leads, some semi-promising. DH is literally busy 8 hours a day with networking, calls, sending resumes, researching companies, etc. So different from 2008 (thankfully). I'm trying to be hopeful it won't be long... doing well overall though and exercise, even little bits like this, certainly help.
Guest guest
Yeah, I haven't been running for that very reason, and ankle cyst has shrunk considerably!I will run again though... I can't stay away. you are doing so well finding workarounds!!! Woot! Great job, ! Guest guest
What a great idea to do pushups while waiting for the workout to start. Good going, .Bless your hubbys heart. It sounds like he's giving it his all. He WILL prevail, you have to know that.~~ Sent from my Thunderbolt 4GLTE ----- Reply message -----To: <exercisevideos >Subject: Push-ups & I Want Those ArmsDate: Wed, May 23, 2012 8:07 am Insane morning and who knows what the afternoon/evening will bring so I did a very quick workout this morning. Guest guest
Thanks so much, Donna!! Yeah, I'm finally at that point where I just need to, as you say, lay off it completely. I have to walk a lot for my job and, of course, am standing for the meetings too (every so often I sit in one but that's usually only with a very small group) so I already put enough stress on my feet that more just isn't helping. I'm just thankful I am at such a low body weight instead of when I was a lot heavier, I'm sure that has to be helping (though sometimes it doesn't seem that way). When I have some time, I'm going to actually plan a rotation for the rest of May and probably all of June with specific videos in it. I think I'll rotate between mostly seated upper body, floor core work and floor lower body. I might also see if the library has a chair aerobics workout to try and get some cardio! :-) Push-ups & I Want Those ArmsTo: exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, May 23, 2012, 8:07 AM Insane morning and who knows what the afternoon/evening will bring so I did a very quick workout this morning. Guest guest
I'm glad to hear the ankle cyst has shrunk, at least you know your restraint is paying off! I hope mine will too, I was looking longingly at my Cathe's today (especially the circuit type ones with lots of high impact in them)... Guest guest
Thank you, ! I get so sick of waiting for that workout to start, the timing worked out just right too, I finished just as the menu finally came up! Hubby is working so hard at this, I'm so proud of him. He will prevail... it is just a matter of when not if... (which is good, I keep going back to 2008, then we didn't know IF he'd ever get a job, let alone when so I'm very thankful for this climate this year).
