Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm still feeling slightly under the weather, not really bad - but still a bit scratchy in the throat/stuffed up. My DD had this earlier in the week - she is better now. I took a lot of Zicam and Emergen-C yesterday so hopefully that will keep it at bay! All that said, I got a bit of a late start this morning and I had to leave a little earlier this morning - I finally got my bloodwork done after almost a year of having the requisition from my dr! I was originally going to do a Tracie Long FOCUS workout, but Tracie's workouts are a bit tricky in that she doesn't use conventional movements and my brain was feeling very foggy (and I knew i couldn't have coffee until after the bloodwork!). So, at the last minute I put in Tamilee Webb's Tighter Assets Weight Loss (the companion to her Tighter Assets Cardio Blast that I did earlier this week). This one has unweighted lower body work using a step at times and a short series of upper body work and abs. It is very repetitive in that you do leg work on one side, then upper body (very straightforward stuff - bicep curls, upright rows, etc.), then leg work on the other side, then upper body again, followed by a short set of abs. It is about 30 min long. It suited me for the way I was feeling today!! I did not add on my circuit of X-Factor, w/ a cold I don't like to do as much jumping up and down and going from floor to standing work.....Afterwards I did an episode of Classical Stretch that I recorded awhile back that was still on my DVR. It was from Season 7 and included all barre work - mostly stretching for the lower body. The barre stretches for the psoas/hip flexor are my favorite. Gee. I really do want the new Essentrics workouts!! I think I'm going to hold out b/c as I recall I think Miranda may do a sale every now and then. It isn't like I don't have enough Classical Stretch to keep me busy in the meantime- aside from the DVDs I have, I also have the opportunity to record the episodes from PBS.... Anyway, CS was very enjoyable! There are so many workout types I want to do and so little time! I really did feel good when I tried to do a CS episode daily - I really should go back to that - the episodes on TV are only 24 min long.Ok - talk to everyone later - we have a busy day here - work, housework, go to DD's school for a presentation, etc. Then, tomorrow we're entertaining friends again - entertaining always stresses me out - between the cleaning, worrying if everyone will have a good time, trying to figure out what to serve -yikes! I think my worst nightmare job would be being an event planner!Talk to everyone later!!Donna
